Rainbow 🌈 colours

Good morning

 Hello friends!

Today is the beginning of a new week and it will be a difficult week. Tomorrow we will have a big strike, the second big one since the beginning of the year, no trains, electricity and gaz companies, gasoline ⛽️ companies we may have queues to get gasoline these days … I will just use my car to go food shopping this week. Mr L has got gasoline yesterday to be able to work.

Yesterday I ordered some things I needed to make «  a Rainbow cake » I always wanted to make one and I found a recipe. I will practice for Maxime ´s future Birthday cakes. I decided to give some of the cakes I’ll bake to my neighbour’s.

We wanted to work a little in the garden, but it was too cold, only Mr L went to take the dog for a short walk and we gave food to the birds.

We found a new bird feeder

I found 142 wool skein when emptying my mother’s flat. Beautiful colours, but I don’t know what to do with them… try to sell them I think, they are for tapestry.

This is the picture of the rainbow cake, I hope I can make it? I will have a try…

  1. I think your rainbow cake will be gorgeous!
It's very cold here too and supposed to get colder through the week.
I used to use skeins like that for cross stitch. You brought back memories. :)

  2. It's very cold here, too, and I'm happy to stay indoors. I hope the unrest in France settles down soon.
I made a 5-layer cake twice, once for my husband's birthday, and once for a granddaughter's. It's a lot of work, but maybe if the same batter is just coloured differently, it won't be as complicated as making different flavours, too. Good luck with that project!

  3. I have seen rainbow cakes in bakeries, but decided it was not worth the effort. Flavor is more important to me. But good luck and have fun!
