Memories

Our ferry in my childhood village was red before but now blue like Barbara in Cornwall! The ferry is crossing the river Seine .
Today it is freezing, but a beautiful day! At last!
No more rain for the moment.
On Thursday 15 degrees C for a few days…
We had our Valentine dinner at home.
The day before I went to do my shopping for the dinner, but all was already prepared and I had nothing to do except prepare the table.
For dessert I bought a little heart cake for two.
It was a “Mille feuilles” cake.

Do you remember our vacations car tour in the Netherlands? The following pictures were taken in Friesland ( north east of Netherlands) Appingedam
I like the canals and water in general, having spent my childhood in a village on the river Seine’s banks.

These were the kitchens above the canal

And this was last Saturday in France Pont Audemer”
My childhood’s village “La Bouille”

The wide river Seine

Our village streets with typical Normand houses.

Hope you enjoyed the visit and I wish you a nice week!

  1. I always enjoy your photos! Today, I really like the ones from Friesland as that is where both Bobs and my great grandparents immigrated from!
