Market day.

This morning we went to Saint Pol de Leon’s big market. We bought sweet pink Roscoff  onions 🧅
Most of the goods are organic. In Brittany they grow strawberries, cabbage, artichoke, cauliflower. And they make butter

Honey, cider and buckwheat ( galettes…)
In fact a lot of vegetables.

These are  different ciders and apple juice.

Then we left the market and visited the Cathedral.

( sorry blogger put the pictures of the costume museum in between)
Traditional hats

I love that one, so beautiful!
This is not embroidery but knots like they use to do fishing nets.
“Musée du filet brodé”

These little statues are representing the 7 saints
who brought Christianism in the 7 Century
They came from England ( Winchester)

These are the banners for the prosession.

Then we left and came back to Roscoff where I have an appointment for a body care and then we booked at the “Crêperie” for our dinner tonight.
I am now reading”Country Living” , Roscoff being a Ferry boat harbour going to the United Kingdom 🇬🇧

I could find an English magazine!

  2. You bring back many memories for me! We always arrived in Roscoff when we came to France, and sometimes spent a night or two there.
