Hello Friends 

Two days ago I baked some garlic bread, some tomato and basil bread and today an hazelnut brioche!

Yesterday I had a dentist appointment and today after my brioche baking and house cleaning I am back to my watercolour watching the news on tv at the same time.

We are always worried about my son and family in the middle of a war.

It will soon be the weekend and we will go out a litttle to relax ☺️ the oil prices going up a lot!

This is the hazelnut brioche!

 My today’s work not finished but enough for today.

Today the sun shines but it still chilly ( we only are in March!)

Today, is dentist day! Not a good day… and I will have to take an appointment for an implant ( never had one and I am sure I’ll be very stressed that day)

Yesterday, I got the paint to do some painting in the grandchildren’s room and baked some lemon cupcakes.

In picture number 3 all the ikea pieces that arrived yesterday for grandpa to build. They made a mistake with the side bed so we have to change it on Saturday.

More shopping on Saturday!

Now I must go to the dentist and after go painting!

Autumn is round the corner!

This weekend Autumn will start! So I decided to bake little fruit tarts with grapes and apricot jam.I made my own crust ( it’s been a long time since I made one!) but more tasty.

This weekend is patrimony days, we will try to visit some places around home, but Saturday morning we will go to my favourite clothe shop to spend a big voucher on winter clothes, before the voucher ends!

I did a big clearing in my wardrobe and need new pieces for the Autumn and winter.

A new week after a nice weekend.

Hello Friends !

Our weekend was busy. On Saturday we went out to get  a watch my husband had left to get repaired in a small town we often go 45 mn from home and at the same time I could go to my favourite Italian clothes shop to have a look at the last sales. Last time I went there I saw this wool cardigan and it was half price, but this time a very good bargain 70 % off so I decided to buy it

, two black jumpers and a coat with hood ( all was 70% off) I can wear this coat on both sides the other one is black.

Then we had a cake and a coffee in our favourite coffee shop.

On Sunday, we stayed home I had a Skype with Maxime and we went out for a walk with Bandit our dog. The weather is all grey but the temperature was about 10 degrees.

Then I did some crocheting 🧶 to get rid of these cotton I had in a box.

I also found … a new bag! It is a faded pink colour.

 Today Monday, I am baking and cooking for the week and a special meal for my son in law who is coming to help on Wednesday.

Stuff d butternut and stuffed sweet potatoes 🍠 

Cider and carrots pork stew.

 a fruit cake loaf and vanilla yogurts.

Then blue g visits and 

Tomorrow hair cut and Thursday 😨 dentist!

Autumn colours in the kitchen !

This week I did not want to go this week, not feeling too well and very bad weather.

So, as I ran out of food at the end of the week, I decided to open the kitchen cabinets and look at what I had got in stock. I had baking rice and baked a salted caramel rice pudding. I had tuna cans and made a tuna loaf with 

Cheese adding a sauce with low fat cream and tomato sauce served with salad. ( below)

Then egg cream « crème aux œufs »

Last night my husband went to get food from our favourite restaurant. We had plenty of mixed vegetable salad, pan Jo chicken, avocado… and a lemon cheese cake.

Today, we are shopping together, but next week I will start shop delivery again as I am not feeling too well

Baking and cooking day.

 Hello Friends

Today, the weather was sunny this morning but now it is all grey. No rain today!

This morning I took my car and drove to the next village to get some very good bread. My son in law is coming tomorrow to help me, so I am preparing special lunch for him. I also went to the butcher to get some meat to cook home made burgers for him.

Then when I came back I baked the pear and caramel cake, I baked butternut with goat cheese raisins and bacon, also sweet potatoes we will eat with yogurt sauce. I also got some porc meat to cook with cider and carrots 🥕. So now I have spent two or three hours cooking and baking , but now I can rest and watch “Shetland “.

Served with salted caramel sauce

Porc meat with cider and carrots will cook slowly for tonight served with rice

I also did the cleaning of the Maileg mice house and started its Christmas decoration.

Cinnamon biscuit with an apple 🍎 glaze cider.

 Today, my son in law is cutting some wood in our prairie. So I have baked him a cinnamon  biscuit with an apple 🍎 glaze cider on top.

It tempted me to bake it!

I had the recipe from:” The charm of home”

I tried it, it taste very good, but it is still warm it is better when cold with the glaze. I managed to do the recipe having cups  to measure…

He had some after his work and was very pleased with it, he said it was very good!

A new day, a new week!

Yesterday, as my husband was working in the garden I did the week housework and today it is cooking day!

My son in law is coming to help us in the garden and in the house, depends on the weather! Cutting branches if no rain ☔️ or working on my husband’s computer in case of heavy rain.

So I cooking homemade salmon lasagne and stuffed butternut ( he will have the choice!)

Them “pralines roses cookies 🍪” as I had some pralines left.

 I am trying to improve my health condition to be able to visit my son , daughter in law and Maxime.

I am training on my trade mill and keep busy.

I should go beginning of December but depends on my health. My husband filled the papers for the  handicap card. Last time I travelled I had assistance with a wheelchair and I was very glad to have help.

Better travel with help than stay home!

I will do my best!

Fall and pear 🍐 biscuits 🍪

Today, I have a lot of fruits to use, so I made some cooked mixed fruits and these pear biscuits.

Now I will cook butternuts with ham and goat cheese for tonight.

It is hot 27 degrees C and the sun 🌞 is shining outside.

I will prepare the bulbs baskets with tulips ready to plant!
 

Baking day

Today, I baked an apple and plum tart for tonight.

The weather being an Autumnal weather it will be good 

To have it for supper.

What did I do this afternoon? Watch King Charles arrival in Paris on tv, crocheting while watching.

This is what I found during our holidays, a big hand made scarf and hand made colourful jewellery  to go on my plain dresses.
