New holiday finds!

Hello friends!

First of all, Bandit is very happy to be home again!before we left I saw on a decoration shop’s Facebook in the place we were going to stay, these mushrooms for my Fall mantel decoration. Here they are!

We went to some brocantes and there is another find, doll coffee set dating back to the 40’s.

I love the coffee pot s shape and the pattern.

 

When we went to the wind mill, I got some pancakes flour and plain one too. I am going to make scones today, but before I have to do some exerces and a walk and then clean the downstairs windows!

Today, I did my one hour drive to get Bandit to the kennel. He was SO pleased to see me back! I is doing like the dogs on the picture hide under his blanket!

He likes to be confortable!!!

He went to make atour of  his garden to see if other animals came during his stay at the kennel.

He was very quiet as usual on the drive back home

 Now he can have a rest with his mum!

I talked to the girl at the kennel and they have many dogs owners that never come back to get their dog so there are abandoned. With the economical crisis many people can’t afford to feed and go to the vet with their dog , having difficulties to pay their bills.

The kennel look for new families for them.

They are usually big dogs, but if they get a small female one they will phone me as Bandit feels lonely I may adopt one.

The dogs and cats rescues are full of abandoned animals, so sad!

It’s good to be home 🏠!

A very Cool day!

 Yesterday it was Happy National Dog Day!

You can see how my dog Bandit has a happy 😃 life!

Today, my son has sent me a message, 50 .8 C degrees in Dubai the hottest temperature they ever had!

We have lost 15 C in two days how nice 😊 !

Raindrop keeps falling on my head! 😆

 This morning, it is all silent, after all that wind noise during all day yesterday. Bandit was scared because of the big noise and feels better today. Going to the vet on Saturday we realised that this little guy is already 9 years old ! As he is always so speedy we forgot about his age. He will soon go to the kennel, but does not like it very much.

I did not listen to the radio yet, but certainly trees fallen, power cuts and flooding on our coasts. Brittany and Corentin. Before we had a lot of power cuts during the winter storms, but in the village the electric cables are underground, so no more power cuts in the village!

Yesterday they had to rescue a mother and her child doing paddle on the sea in the morning whereas it was forbidden to go near the shores! How stupid!

We also had pouring rain 🌧️ during July , but it is all green ! The farmers rushed to cut their crops in between showers and all the crops are sheltered for the winter.

I received part of what I ordered , a head jacket made of recycled plastic bottles.

This morning as usual these days, the rain is pouring!

A lazy day!

Today, is a beautiful sunny day. I am sitting outside in my confortable recliner surrounded by roses. Bandit is hunting moles!

This rose bushes is starting to bloom and will be covered by hundreds of small roses in a few days.

They are all at school or at work and there are only the birds songs and the wind 💨 so it is not too hot.

I should work! I did the first coat of paint, but yesterday I was tired and not feeling well, so today, I did the house work and I will make an apple and rhubarb crumble , while the washing machine is working for me 😆 

I have cut some rhubarb from the garden and I already had one kilogram and made a rhubarb pie.

Then I must catch up with your blogs!

An early morning

This morning I went to the kennel and left Bandit for a few days. The two white horses are used with a new white carriage for the weddings.

They also have a horse boarding  and the are doing horse carriage wedding like I did for my son’s wedding .I am going to this place for 15 years

So I had to drive trough the country lanes with bright yellow fields on each sides. It was a nice drive , but Bandit was not quiet during 30 mn so I try to put the radio and drive faster and it makes him quiet!

I always bring his food the papers I had to fill and his vaccinations papers. Then I had a 30 mn drive back, but a lot quieter.

Last year when we went on our tour of the Netherlands « booking » did not do one of our reservations in a B&B ! This time I did not receive a mail from the Hotel as usual and I was scared it happened again. So I called the hotel and no reservation had been done once more!

The owner reminded us , because it will be the fifth time we go there and found us a best room with view on the lake and quite cheaper than when I book on booking! Fortunately I phoned, he made the reservation himself otherwise we would not have any accommodation !

I did a lot of reservations through Booking and they are based in the Netherlands, so when we will be back I will call them. I never had any problem before!

My dog Bandit is soon going to the kennel, they have an Hôtel for small dogs. It is a room with a dog bed a window and heating. There is also some places outside where they can walk and run and see the other friends.

I always take one or two walks a day and bring his own food, because he has digestive problems and his tablets for his allergies to Spring grass ( I did not know dogs could have such allergies before Bandit scratches and sneezes!)

 Waiting for dad to come back home to go out for a walk,. Before I used to walk everyday 5 km with mum, but since she had her back surgery I have to wait for dad to come home! What a dog’s life!!!
