New holiday finds!

Hello friends!

First of all, Bandit is very happy to be home again!before we left I saw on a decoration shop’s Facebook in the place we were going to stay, these mushrooms for my Fall mantel decoration. Here they are!

We went to some brocantes and there is another find, doll coffee set dating back to the 40’s.

I love the coffee pot s shape and the pattern.

 

When we went to the wind mill, I got some pancakes flour and plain one too. I am going to make scones today, but before I have to do some exerces and a walk and then clean the downstairs windows!

A few years ago, I found these toys 🧵 sewing machines on a “ vide grenier” ( garage sale)

I did not have manu toys when I was a child and always wanted to have one.

Then I found a second one I think it is older than the singer one and I would like to find more to start a collection of vintage toys.

 

The weather has changed after the heat and thunderstorm ⛈ it is now 16 C and raining after this horrible 39C. 40C of last week!

Nature is feeling better so do we! We can breathe much better!

The plants are being watered by the rain and it is back to normal for the moment.

Tonight is the “fête des la musique” music festival 

And it may be raining…

Music groups will be performing in the villages and in the streets everywhere in France.

One folk group will be performing in the village closed to ours tonight.

There are sometimes fireworks

At night and outdoor parties.

My son juste sent me a picture of his first Father’s Day present! A pair of socks with daddy and son’s picture!

Winter wedding Anniversary.

Christmas decorations in Paris shops!

 Hello Friends!

Yesterday this is how we had lunch! With our coat and scarves! It was freezing outside and today it is colder!

My son and his wife have left yesterday and went to his sister. Today, the four of them are going to Paris for two days.

The  windows and doors should be installed tonight, except the front door that should arrive in January.

I will have to hurry tomorrow to do my last shopping and cooking. I can’t use the kitchen today.

I am a bit stressed before Xmas! 

It was our 38 th wedding anniversary on the 17th of December and I found a present for Mr L.vintage car toy and vintage items under a cloche with light.

The new door in one bedroom all glass so I can see the landscape and the sheep’s next door.

I hope you ‘ll have a Merry Christmas with all your loved ones! MERRY CHRISTMAS !

My son brought me these magazines from Dubai and I found shelter in my bedroom with Bandit to feel a bit warmer and to read my magazines.

Home tour the study

It was difficult to use blogger this morning....

Here is the home tour of the day, “the study”

The castle on top of the bookshelves was my son’s 

The earth globe was mine when I was a child and the small file cabinet it was a makeover I did with old french maps and I have changed the drawer handles.

One part of the room is a study and the other one a dressing.
