Spring and the wake up of wildlife.

 Hello Friends, it was supposed to be a quiet day… but as soon as I woke up and let Bandit out in the garden, I heard a noise of fighting under the edge and then rushed out I knew hedgehogs hide under the hedges. They are protected animals and Bandit had already killed one! So I struggled with him but as he is a hunting dog ( jack parson Russell) it was hard to get him the poor hedgehog released as he was shaking him very hard. But I succeeded and then he had a shower to prevent the fleas. He had a bleeding mouth It must be hurting.

After the rescue of the neighbour’s hens today another rescue. I did not have time to take a picture as he ran away !

The is the joy of living in the country!

IKEA furniture makeover.

Hello

Yesterday with the Spring weather I decided to clean some of the windows and this piece of furniture is in my kitchen ( from IKEA a long time ago)

I had décidé to paint it put wheels on it so when I don’t need it I push it in frein of  my kitchen french door.

But it was plain and I found this old bakery Madeleine tray and decided to decorate it with it.

 

At the moment the weather is warm enough to open windows and doors and listen to Vivaldi’s Four season!

We are changing to Spring time this weekend!

The day started with a beautiful Sun ☀️ 

Then I was fit enough to go for a walk through the village, I did it this morning because the cycling Normandy tour is coming through the village pretty soon. All the roads are closed in the neighbourhood during two days.

Many wild flowers on my way. Lots of  magnolia from different sizes, beautiful on a blue sky. The temperature is 14C in the morning and 18 in the afternoon !

When you don’t recognise your son….

 Hello friends,

The expedition has a blog and this morning when I woke up I had a look at it. I was looking for my son and did not recognised him!

They had storms and some tents were damaged. They will be skiing about 10 to 20 km a day.my be young to do such things!

Here, the sun shines , it will be shining all week.

I am waiting for the technicians to come as there is a problem with my boiler electronic again. They already came yesterday and have to change the electronic part again! It has only 6 months 

We don’t have to pay but I am worried for the future !

We already had this brand of boiler which was a very good one but by this time there was no electronic !

We have heating, but no hot water or we have hot water but no heating ! The machine’s brain is confused 🤔 

Today, I will be waiting for the technicians again and will finish my book. I don’t know if I will be able to sit outside reading?

Yesterday we had 17 C . 

Today I rescued and saved all my neighbors hens! A dog 🐶 succeeded to enter the poultry and was beginning to attack these poor  hens. I urgently phoned my neighbor who hurried and saved his hens.

From the back window I can see the hens I am happy they did not die. But this dog is a nuisance in the street his owners live him outside all day out in the street.

Covid is coming back and Mr L is not feeling well I hope we will be ok. Here no more obligation to wear masks , but we keep ours as the number of COVID is growing each dam same for the flue which is back!

News from my son ´s  expédition  in Svalbard North Pole

Happy Spring!

I got these daffodils in our field behind the house, they are 20 years old and getting bigger and bigger each year!

We will have a nice Spring week and yesterday we had to queue 

At the car wash after the episode of sand storm from Sahara, everybody had to clean their cars especially the windscreen!

Some Pretzels for tonigh 🥨 

Today I will finish reading my 8th book, do the washing as a Monday , do some dusting …

A Sunday in the garden.

Today is a real Spring day! Blue sky , door wide open and no heating !

It was nice to look at the garden and discover lots of violets,

Camélia flowers and new born lamb a white one and a black one.
