A burning 🥵 Summer!

Hello Friends!

I still have some problems with blogger! But this morning I was able to write!

The pictures below are from the small village I go to have my pedicure done. As I was early, I sat on the bench near the pound in the shade.

This weekend we went out on Saturday morning to do some shopping and stayed home on Sunday as the temperature was continuously rising!

Today the second or third heat wave is starting… again and again! It is very tiring and critical for the plants and animals.

This week it will rising up to 35 C again and  no rain.

Tomorrow morning early I have an appointment for a morning relaxation only to look after myself!

Massage… after all the health problems I went through these days I need a break.

We still are thinking about our September holidays?? We want to go up north! Iceland 🇮🇸 Norway 🇳🇴 Sweden 🇸🇪??? We have to decide!

We did not have taken our June break because of our dog big health problems and couldn’t leave him at the kennel. But in September it will be ok.

On Saturday Mr L bought me some perfume for the Summer! I like Escada yearly perfume it’s a very nice fragrance of different fruits for Summer.

I don’t have much pictures from outside as it begins to be all burnt by the heat.

Unfortunately I go out only in the mornings it is even too hot to do barbecues.

On Saturday we also had time to get clothes for our grandchildren the sales have began here, so they won’t have too much luggage when travelling.

Today is food shopping day. Next week I will start again the food delivery as it becomes difficult to carry the bags.

Then I will work on the desk transformation as I want it to go back in it’s place to tidy the room.

 I love the colours of this morning sky, SO beautiful !

We are waiting for bulbs basket to plant them maybe this weekend ?we will see…

 Hello Friends,

Today, I think I will read outside in the shade. This is a privileged you have, when you have a garden with big trees and when you live in the countryside.

Since the pandemic and lockdowns, many people left towns for the country and complain about the noises.

For my part, I love to hear the church bells 🔔 at 7am

And every quarter of an hour we are used to that. I like to hear the cock crow at dawn and I know it’s half past five , the goose next door and the donkey 🫏  rather than the lawnmowers .

I have lived in town during my studies, but rather like the birds song than the town noises!

It is very quiet today, as many people are on holidays and children not back to school yet. We like to go on holidays when others are back to work and be with the retired people is very pleasant.

I went to do the grocery shopping today as I am feeling better and yesterday I baked a banana and milk chocolate loaf  and will have a slice after lunch with my coffee.

Spring in the countryside .

Hello friends,

For my Birthday yesterday, we had another violent wind storm, many power cuts during the evening! Not a very good time! And we will have another storm on Friday!

But…this morning we have sun and blue sky.

I took pictures from my bedroom window and live to see the beautiful yellow colour.

Yesterday, I decided not to bake my Birthday cake for Sunday, but I ordered a fruit cake from our Pâtissier it will be a raspberry cake and of course now many candles 🎂 😆 !

You can hear all the birds we are feeding!

 I hope today will be quieter than yesterday, blue sky and sun 🌞 

Keeping warm inside.

I had a mango 🥭 left and did not know what to do with it? I decided to make a rice caramel mango rice pudding with almond crunch on top.

Rice pudding is one of our favourite winter sweet, when we have a light main dish or for breakfast instead of bred and yogurt.

I have cooked it very slowly and first cook it in boiling water to be much more soft. I added the mango before putting in the oven after being cooked in the milk.

This was a chapel and now the smallest town hall of France.

For the ceremonies people had to stand outside! Better have a nice weather!!

A Spring walk and Magnolias.

 

The day started with a beautiful Sun ☀️ 

Then I was fit enough to go for a walk through the village, I did it this morning because the cycling Normandy tour is coming through the village pretty soon. All the roads are closed in the neighbourhood during two days.

Many wild flowers on my way. Lots of  magnolia from different sizes, beautiful on a blue sky. The temperature is 14C in the morning and 18 in the afternoon !
