Work in progress and bird sanctuary.

First this morning in my pyjamas 😜 I began to work, I was so scared it did not work as I spoiled some rocks and boats… in fact I needed three coats of paint. So I have to paint again on the left side before applying the stickers I must paint the third coat . But I begin to be reassured as I could transfer the lighthouse easily. I still have plenty of work and then put the protection coat on top.

Hello Friends!

Today, my son has sent me these pictures from Maxime and auntie Maud. Only three days left with auntie Maud 

But before on Sunday she is  going to run a race of 10 kms in Dubai under about  30 C degrees ! And leave on Monday. We are going to have a long weekend of bank holidays (3 days) this time we ‘ll stay home preparing for the children’s arrival beginning of December.

Maxime is at a bird sanctuary today enjoying the company of daddy and auntie Maud. Brother and sister are together!
 I must now go and do the housework in between, but I ‘ll have three days to work as Mr L will be there and help me in the house. I am impatient to tidy up all the painting mess!

Today is a special day! Maxime’s Birthday 🎂 

He his two today. His nursery is closed for a week, due to flooding in Dubaï. This afternoon he will have a Birthday party with his nursery friends at home. It will be an international Birthday party with little boys coming from different parts of the world 🌎 !

I wish I could be there, but with the terrible weather there the airport landing tracks are flooded and there are no planes anyway.

Tomorrow is Friday and the end of the week I hope the weather forecast will get better for the weekend as this week has been an awful week with the windstorm during three days. 

Tomorrow I’ll get the vegetables I ordered at the farm for the week and then try to go out during the weekend with my husband.I just looked at the weather forecast and no 🌧️no wind 💨 for the weekend ! 😮‍💨 

New project.

Today I am cooking butternut, I will put Roscoff onions  🧅 and cheese inside and roast it.

This is the desk I am going to paint

Only part of it in greenish grey and add some of the transfer I am going to cut. It’s all about Nature.

Today, we are having a kind of deluge! Very heavy rain and wind, so it is not inviting to go out…

I have many projects in mind and I will begin to plan them for the rainy days of Fall and winter.

One I decided to begin soon is to pain and decorate the desk we have upstairs. I have rather decorate some pieces of furniture than do some crafts, one day we will move and take the furniture with us, the crafts after some time go to the thrift store…

This is the other part I will paint and decorate. I must order the transfer on the net and then prepare everything before starting.

Here is my first project for the cold rainy days!

Flowers in the house 🏠

Today, I am working on a table. I don’t like to change our furniture, but to paint or customise them to make a new piece of decoration in our home.

I used the new transfer I found this week and now I have to protect it with varnish.

At the same time I organise our next vacations .

Today, we will have a thunderstorm and the weekend won’t be very nice, the temperature is going up

But still remains comfortable compare to other countries.

The sun is back! 🌞

Yesterday, I worked on my chest of drawers. I added 

Manuscripts in between the flowers.

I have still work on the third drawer.

I have got to rub the transfer on the drawer.

At the same time, I am working on my wardrobe

I baked this little pastries. Two puff pastries and in between I put orange 🍊 jam twisted the little squares and on top sugar mixed with cinnamon which is very easy and good with coffee.

I am feeling a little better. I have a chronic health problem, so as soon as I feel a relief I am back to housekeeping!

A morning out.

This morning the rain has stopped for a while so I decided to go out after being inside for ten days.

First I had health problems, then heavy showers all the time and to finish heavy storm.

I went to get some decorative paint and transfer to customise a desk, then I went to get white sneakers 👟 

And suddenly there was a very heavy shower! As I was in front my favourite cafe and restaurant, I had my meal there.

Caramelised pork ribs with potatoes and a crème brûlée.

The place is called” les deux zèbres” the two zebras

Twins are the owners. 

 

I drank an iced tea, but the door was open and it was cold! Windy outside and only 19C.

The dish was rather an Autumn dish , but I choose it instead of a salad 🥗

Now I can see the sun by the window, but for how long? That is the question!

By the way, last night I saw a mother deer and her two babies in the garden, just before dark and two others in the background. They were eating and the babies were playing in the tall grass. It was so nice, I watched them half an hour and then they went back in the forest .

Furniture transformation.

This morning I worked on my chest of drawers. I have done the second layer of varnish and finish my transfer.

Now it is drying and finish. Tomorrow I can put everything in place on top of it.

I have used all the transfer on both sides.

 Next time the wardrobe transformation !

Today, it is cool and rainy, nice for the garden, saves water!

 How to customise a chest of drawers?

This is the transfer I got this week

There are three possibilities 

I will decorate the front of the drawers.

I will put the big transfer on top

Then I will have to protect them with non shine varnish.

At the moment it is cold and rainy, before the weekend heat 30C.

I visited a friend, who has a decoration shop and is Vintage Paint JDL retailer now and she is also selling

« Re design transfer » I needed something to do and decided to get one for my English chest of drawers.

(Blogger decided of the pictures order!)

My son went back to Dubai and I need to prepare for their arrival in August which is good for me to be busy.

Prepare for the little one. I bought new clothes for Maxime during our sales, so that they have less to bring, I must buy some new books and already got new second hand toys ( which I have already cleaned )

The high chair is ready, the bed… we must go to IKEA to get some safety items and it will be ready.

This Saturday evening my husband made a restaurant reservation  in the village of my childhood ( La Bouille) it is a very touristic place and after the meal we will have a walk along the river Seine.

By them I am resting after all the emotions of last week

and I have to do all the administrative  procedures, but I found a firm who does all of the procedures for me which is a relief. The procedures are very long if you are not a professional.

I will show you the result of my chest of drawers soon I hope.
