Decorating with roses transferts.

Hello Friends!

This morning I received my transfers. When our son is coming I will take away lots of decorations and especially the vintage typewriter in case it fell on Maxime so I did the same transfer which is already on a table in the room.

The other one is in the hall and matches the frame with roses.

Today it is…windy! The temperature is going up and by Saturday it will be hot 30C in some part of France here 23C. It really is scary if it is already hot beginning of April! In certain parts of Africa it is already around 50C. The heat comes from the African desert and will bring us sand this weekend. Better wait before cleaning the cars and windows!

Do you know “Hercule Poirot”?

I have a picture of David Suchet because I am a fan of Agatha Christie. Nearly 20 years ago we had an American student with us during one year and every afternoons we watched Hercule Poirot together and he gave me this picture for my Birthday. 

I just found it while I was sorting out a drawer.

Now, I am drinking a hot chocolate in my Emma Bridgewater mug. The Jack Russell is our dog Bandit 😆.

New project.

Today I am cooking butternut, I will put Roscoff onions  🧅 and cheese inside and roast it.

This is the desk I am going to paint

Only part of it in greenish grey and add some of the transfer I am going to cut. It’s all about Nature.

Today, we are having a kind of deluge! Very heavy rain and wind, so it is not inviting to go out…

I have many projects in mind and I will begin to plan them for the rainy days of Fall and winter.

One I decided to begin soon is to pain and decorate the desk we have upstairs. I have rather decorate some pieces of furniture than do some crafts, one day we will move and take the furniture with us, the crafts after some time go to the thrift store…

This is the other part I will paint and decorate. I must order the transfer on the net and then prepare everything before starting.

Here is my first project for the cold rainy days!

The perfume of Summer!

Today, the weather is warming up and the sun is shining.

I went food shopping and came back home. This afternoon I will put my laundry 🧺 outside on my new washing line and try to be courageous to do the ironing!

 Then I must finish the sides of my wardrobe and the last drawer of my chest of drawers.

I picked up some sweat peas to put in the house, I love their sweet perfume.

I remember an old Nina Ricci perfume” Fleur de fleur”

Which was a sweet peas perfume, so nice but does not exist anymore.

We will have a long weekend and barbecues!

There are three possibilities 

I will decorate the front of the drawers.

I will put the big transfer on top

Then I will have to protect them with non shine varnish.

At the moment it is cold and rainy, before the weekend heat 30C.

I visited a friend, who has a decoration shop and is Vintage Paint JDL retailer now and she is also selling

« Re design transfer » I needed something to do and decided to get one for my English chest of drawers.

(Blogger decided of the pictures order!)

My son went back to Dubai and I need to prepare for their arrival in August which is good for me to be busy.

Prepare for the little one. I bought new clothes for Maxime during our sales, so that they have less to bring, I must buy some new books and already got new second hand toys ( which I have already cleaned )

The high chair is ready, the bed… we must go to IKEA to get some safety items and it will be ready.

This Saturday evening my husband made a restaurant reservation  in the village of my childhood ( La Bouille) it is a very touristic place and after the meal we will have a walk along the river Seine.

By them I am resting after all the emotions of last week

and I have to do all the administrative  procedures, but I found a firm who does all of the procedures for me which is a relief. The procedures are very long if you are not a professional.

I will show you the result of my chest of drawers soon I hope.
