A new week and a recipe.

Hello Friends 

Today, I have an appointment to the clinic and the taxi is coming at 1PM to go to Rouen again.

Yesterday, I baked some « financiers ». and here is the recipe I used: 

Preheat oven th 6-7   200 degrees C

150gr sugar

130 gr butter

80gr almond powder

50gr flour

3egg whites

Mix the flour, almond powder, sugar 

Melt the butter until it has a hazelnut colour «  we call it beurre noisette » slightly brown.

Leave the butter to cool and then add it to the dry ingredients.

Beat the egg whites and add them  softly to all the ingredients .

 

Pour in small cake tins and bake for 15 mn  keeping an eye on them, they must get a golden colour. The time depends on the cakes sizes. Makes about eleven cakes. 

They were very good! Mr L ate most of them! I had no time to put them in a box!

My daughter and her husband are still in Costa Rica 

They are coming back after two weeks on Friday.

They have seen lots of animals in the different National Parks .

Yesterday, I could not have my Skype time with Maxime, unfortunately his teeth are coming out and he was not feeling well ( he will have six teeth and 11 months, going soon to the nursery while his mum is working.

I already bought the decoration behind the cooker in the Netherlands 

I found some cardboard paper to decorate the inside.

Hello Friends 

During the night, I recieved pictures from my daughter who is travelling through Costa Rica visiting the National parks. Here are the orchids pictures she has sent me and the little video is about a Tatou. I had a look on the net and did not know there were some (Tatous  in french )in Texas. Armadillos I think in English.

This coming week, as I can’t go out o am going to do a doll house in a little suitcase. I am preparing and looking for new ideas.

Spring Birthdays 🎂

Hello Friends,

During the night I recieved pictures from my daughter and her husband who are visiting the National parks of Costa Rica for two weeks.

This is my daughter but in Iceland on the volcano

Son, daughter-in-law and grandson .

Now 38 my daughter and 35 my son! Time flies!

Lots of strange animals there, I am sure this red frog must be poisonous!

Strange spiders and spiderwebs !

I am waiting for Toucan pictures and a Sloth 🦥 

I would love to see them in their natural environment !

When we went out on Saturday, I had a look for Birthday presents 🎁 to send to Dubai. On March the 8 it is my son’s Birthday, on April 18th is Maxim’s Birthday and his mother’s was in February. So I will send all together.For my daughter-in-law I found the “Fable” necklace with a Puffin                And the matching earrings 

In our favourite Tea room I found chocolate and Rose syrup for baking

In a concept store I found a book about north and south poles expeditions. My son having done some expeditions in the north and I know he would like to do one on the South Pole. 

I also found a travelling book notes for him and for future father and son expeditions.

 I found these jewellery in an English shop on the coast. I love thèse very delicate jewellery!
