Busy, busy days!

I am preparing a box for granny ‘s Christmas

Yesterday, I had a phone call from the retirement home and there is a room for my mother. 

It is hard to get a room here, there is not enough retirement homes, but I got it in two weeks.

 I started preparing her a box with sweet treats à Xmas jumper two little Xmas trees to decorate her room and a big ball of yarn and I am crocheting a blanket.

I am very busy and tired to fill papers for her admission, empty her flat and so on… I don’t know if I will have time to prepare Xmas and no time for a Xmas tree!

The old Teddy Bear 🧸

Some years ago I found this old Teddy bear 🧸 

A child may have had it as a Christmas present very long ago. He must have cherished it during his or her life. As I lost mine who was a white Teddy who’s had been repaired and had lost his eyes, buttons replaced them! Now I am taking care of this old Teddy and he is taking a big place in all my Christmases.

A mother must have mended him on the arms, legs and body!

I love it with his vintage ribbon round his neck

He has a friendly face

He has a scar on his back like I have with my spine cord surgery!  We were made to meet! 😆 

 

A cold weekend

We had tiny snow flakes! The temperature is going down and the wind is cold, but no thick layer of snow yet! 

This afternoon we went out to visit my mother in the hospital and now Mr L is taking the dog for a walk.

Did you have any snow?

I just drank a hot chocolate in a warm house watching to blue tits eating peanut on the garden table.

The coming week is going to be very busy, so I am resting today.

The delivery of my son and daughter-in-law ´s presents arrived this afternoon! Keeping them for Christmas Eve!

Nutcrackers!

 

I needed to go away from home today! Too much stress

And phone calls from the retirement homes today and too much worries to do everything correctly and on time. So I went out and took pictures for you and had a look at the ones I like best! Nutcrackers !

This is a   Garden center i have never been to before

The Christmas decoration is quite nice don’t you think so?

I went to buy food for the birds, because we won’t have time tomorrow.

I heard on our regional TV that snow is due tonight ⛄️ 

Today I drove back home around 4 and the sky was very grey and the temperature is around zero.

I wish we have a white December and a white Christmas ! NOEL.

Tonigh Friday Mr L is bringing the dinner after work!

Here we are! December and Christmas 🎄 very soon now.

I had a chat this morning with my son as they have four days off.

They did the Christmas tree with Christmas Carols like I always did with my children and now my son continues with his son!

This is the new electric machine I will try this year  to make Bredele I found it last summer at Aldi.

 I am enjoying myself preparing Christmas 🎅 !

Even if I would have liked Maxime and his parents to be there. This morning I saw him during one hour during his meal and playing with Daddy. For the moment he understands only English. 

I had a phone call this morning from a retirement home

in the small country town where I always go shopping 

12 km from home. I must go and prepare her admission next week , and she is due to enter the place soon.

These are the news for today!

Baking morning

Today, they tried to install the optic fibre for the third time… unsuccessfully ! They must come back with a scanner to probe the ground outside.

While they were working I made some lemon curd to bake lemon curd cupcakes. I put some lemon 🍋 curd inside the cupcake and I must make some meringues to decorate the top.

And I also baked little cinnamon rolls with baked apple lemon juice and cinnamon inside. On top white chocolate , creamed cheese and candied lemon on top.

 This afternoon I will do some crocheting, but for the moment I am cold! I had to stop the boiler all morning while they were working this morning. It is 7 degrees outside, the temperature is going down! We will be soon in winter!

Maileg mice are preparing Christmas 🎄

All the Maileg family is out preparing Christmas !

They all have their Christmas scarves 🧣 knitted 

While watching TV. On Saturday I got the grandparents 

And last week a baby rabbit. All windows now  have their curtains .
