A nice day out.

Bllogger decided of the pictures order again!

This is what I found in my little favourite shop.

This romantic small frame, a new cup and square flower saucer and a new member of the mice family They now have a cook.

Then  we had our lunch at “Little Garden” our favourite Mediterranean healthy restaurant.

We had avocado, tomatoes, cucumbers and salad with sweet potato and yogurt sauce with crispy chicken.

Then we left to the shop which is in the village of one abbey.”Le Bec Hellouin”. While driving there the rain was pouring… and when we arrived fortunately it stopped.

We had a stroll through the park

And had a look at the old trees

 

And the old buildings . Many windows to clean!

Then we went to the church to pray, the place is so serene.

After having been to the monks shop where i bought their honey and their  bitter orange marmelade for breakfast.

Then we headed home. Today, the rain is back and the temperature is going down, nice Autumn weather!

 

Trying to go out!

 Today, guess what?… we are having another storm!

But less in intensity.

It is the weekend  we would like to go out, but the place we want to go we have to drive through the forest and we have been told to be careful as many trees still could fall. Well! We are surrounded by forest so it is hard to get a safe road! The place I would like to go is where I find my Maileg mice. The Maileg house I am doing will be for my grandchildren. But…

At the moment, Grandma is playing with it!

I have decorated it for Fall and now will decorate for Xmas.

I found little burgers ( they are sweets) for the mice grandparents !

 I think we will brave the wind try to find a way without any forest to get something new ! Maybe Maileg Xmas decorations !and do our food shopping 🛍️. This is not a strong wind 80 kmh a normal Autumn wind.

The calm after the storm ⛈️

After the storm, the birds are back and the deers back to the forest! Our weeping willows have suffered but still up!

 Hello Friends,

Last night on the coast they had thunderstorms and flooding ! Here, the wind has stopped and we could sleep, but I just heard on the radio that another storm ( of less intensity) is arriving Tomorrow.

Today it’s chaotic for the many people who still have power cuts. They can’t charge their electric cars, open their electric window shutters and have no heating, no phone…

Trains are impacted with lots of trees fallen on the railways. The bridges are re opened.

Two people died in our country and others in Europe.

I hope it will not be the weather we will now have with the climate changes but I think we must unfortunately get used to these dangerous kind of weather. This rare phenomenon  is called «  a climatic bomb » and it really was in some places especially on our coast. 

Our trees have been damaged by the wind but not uprooted, we are lucky! 

We will have a brief relief 😮‍💨 until tomorrow. But the wind intensity will be much lower just an Autumn storm like we use to have in November, but trees that have been  damaged still can fall and we must be careful.

This morning it is all silent and I appreciate. This afternoon I have to do some shopping before the weekend . This weekend if the roads are opened I must go to the cemetery to flourish my family graves as the cemetery were closed for  the Day of the Dead.

A difficult night but we are ok.

I wanted to draw a pear on top, but it didn’t work

I have baked a caramel and pears 🍐 cake for Mr L!

(Not for me as I am on a diet 😢)

 The storm started at  3PM and the worst will be in a few hours. At the moment many homes have power cuts and many trees on the roads. In the garden at the moment many branches big or small on the ground.

By the window I can see three deers waiting for the end of the storm on the ground by a big bush.

No birds flying !

On our coast the wind is blowing at 200 kmh and some bridges are closed. The peninsula’s Brittany and Corentin had quite a lot of damages and waves  20 meters height .

I did not go out to look at the roof, but for the moment we only have lots of branches everywhere in the garden.

Well I have cancelled an appointment and will stay home as requested and do some crafting and cooking while waiting for the wind to stop.

Now we will have a break until Sunday the next storm!

I Hope you have had a Happy Halloween 🎃 !

Just before the hurricane arrives around 8 tonight we are preparing ourselves, taking away all that can be taken by the wind.

There will be no trains tomorrow in our region, no ferry boat to England, restricted circulation on our bridges.

But yesterday I bought some sweets for the children coming for Halloween 👻, I have tied an orange balloon with a lead inside and a green one to the gate. Tied a bag full of candies on the gate( the house been far from the gate) and all was gone at night!

I also baked some Halloween muffins.

I had news from my son this morning and his hernia surgery was not successful he had an ultra sound this morning and will certainly have a second surgery…we are both worried about that.

The Halloween cookies are pictures he has sent me yesterday from Dubai.

I have done the food shopping yesterday, we have strong wood window shutters and keep our fingers crossed!

The waves on our coasts will be of 6 to 8 meters height

In Brittany 10m height . I have an appointment tomorrow that I must cancel as I have to drive through a forest and in fact we must stay home.

Unfortunately a second storm is predicted on Sunday.

We will stay inside, we may have power cuts.

In 1999 it lasted one week with no power, no heating, no phone and internet!
