Fresh food for heatwave!

Hello friends!

Today, we went to get our dog food at the vet, new sandals for indoor and new medication at the pharmacy.

Them we tried to use our 7 year old mower robot that I called” Nono”  but we  were not successful! the new one will arrive on Wednesday. We had to buy another  one ! I don’t know what name I will choose for him maybe 🤔 “ Nono” number two 😂!

We went to the farm next, my husband wanted his favorite “ Pate croute” with foie gras in the middle

( sorry for the geese or ducks! I don’t eat foie gras anymore for the welfare of the geese or ducks)our children are vegetarians and I will have to cook vegetarian for a month when they come.

But I don’t mind and I am doing some salad with lettuce, 🥬 tuna, peaches, Mozzarella di buffala , croutons, olives and avocados. Mixed with olive 🫒 oil and balsamic vinegar.

Thank you for the salad ideas! Tomorrow I’ll try the one you suggested me.

I will also cook fresh salmon in my little air fryer 10 mn and leave it cool down and then put it in the fridge for another salad with shrimps and potatoes.

I like peaches in salads  it is very good and refreshing same with strawberries.🍓

We are now watching our English serie: “ All creatures great and small” a series in Yorkshire with beautiful sceneries. It is the story of veterinaries in the rural countryside in 1937 James Herriot. A beautiful  and interesting serie.

I wish you a nice Sunday and prayers for the people in Spain who are fighting against enormous fires.

  1. Dear Catherine, I've been to vegetarian restaurants several times, and the food they serve is delicious. I've made salads at home too, I'm a big fan of Greek salad. I also like salmon.
I could be a vegetarian, but I won't be. I like meat, and I usually want it when I'm hungry.
I watch Poirot and Miss Marple when I want to see something beautiful: furniture, clothes, lace, porcelain, the way they drink tea... Also Jane Austen movies: "Pride and Prejudice" for example. Mr Darcy with Colin Firth, of course!:)
I also watched Downton Abbey. I'm not familiar with that serie you wrote about.
I avoid comedies, horror and action movies, they really repel me.
The TV news showed the fire in Spain again, I am so sorry for them.
I've already turned off my TV, watched what I wanted. I read blogs, and then sleep.
Enjoy your film and sleep well afterwards. Hugs. Éva
