Cooking and baking day.

 Hello Friends,

Today, was a busy day! As our son is coming from Dubai within a few days, I have been cooking and baking.

Baking cookies, oat meal cookies and peanut butter cookies.

As my son’s wife is veggie, I baked some tuna, cheese and olive loaves. I will serve it with tomato and cream sauce.

I forgot to take a picture before freezing!

It’s easy to make and good to eat with a salad.

300 grams canned tuna.

100gr self rising flower

10cl milk

10cl olive oil

100gr olives

3eggs

100gr emmenthal grated

To the flour add eggs, milk and olive oil

Then add drained tuna and grated cheese.

Bake 40 mn gaz 6 or 210C electric oven.

Serve hot or cold!

In order to install the air conditioning, we had to remove this beautiful hydrangeas and re plant it some where else, but I was really scared it was going to die…. But, with all the rain we had

It is still alive !

Good news!

 Hello Friends,

Yesterday, a new painter came home to do a quote as the other painter decided not to come…

I have selected the clothes and item I was going to keep or to give to charity shop. Tonight Mr L went to give three big bags of clothes and things I wanted to part.

This morning , I heard a bip on my phone, there was a message from my son, telling me he was arriving with his wife on 17th of July!

I hope he will be able to come as the virus is starting again here.

It’s a good news, but we will know on Monday what will be the new mesures we will have to follow.

They will stay for a week or two . They will rent a car in Paris airport and drive to Normandy the next day.

Here, the rain has stopped for two days, I hope we will get better weather soon, especially if we go away for a few days with my son.

Today, I have cut some lavender and will let it dry.

Before I used to have a big alley of lavender and there were a lot of bees and a very nice perfume especially at night. At the moment this is the perfume of the lime tree of the garden that we can smell at night.

We will have to do a hard work in the garden because of the non stop rain. There are no more flowers… no more roses, they all have been spoilt by the rain. Only one rose bush has still some pink flowers.

This is the front and back garden from upstairs.

We will have to cut the grass  to make hay for the second time!

Malm chest of drawers

 Hello Friends,

We have been working during the weekend to build Malm’s IKEA chest of drawers to make more storage for the buyers when we will sell our house within four years.

The white shiny colour gives some light to the room.

Here, it is raining a lot and as we can’t go outside, we concentrate on the inside!

We will have a lot to catch up in the garden!!!

Now, I am found shopping and get some frames to decorate one of the bedroom wall.

I will show you later what I found.

A bit of fresh air!

 Hello Friends

For those of you who are too hot, these are pictures from my son’s trip to Greenland.

When they go exploring the world, my children scares me and I prefer to see some pictures after their trips! Such as my son on top of the mast of their boats! I like them to go and see as much as they can but it’s sometimes very dangerous.

My daughter was doing the same and sometimes the two couples travel together. But with the lockdowns she can’t travel and decided to settle and from a flat they decided to buy a house.

When they are all four together at home they chat about their trips and remember all the stupid things they did… and afterwards we know that it was better not to know!!!

But it’s nice to be young and to be carefree!

IKEA day!

 Hello Friends,

Today, was the IKEA day!

Before I had to go to the hair dresser and then had our lunch at our favorite restaurant and then went to the IKEA store to get three chest of drawers to keep one of our bedroom more tidy.

But, Mr L is not very good at furniture building and it was said to be easy to build…. But it took him three hours!

I had to help him but it still was so long! And we have got two more to build tomorrow! I hope it won’t take 6 hours! Lol.

I think we have lost the the habit of building IKEA’s furniture after the time when our children were students!

In a word, we are getting old without our children!

My favorite « café »

 Hello Friends,

Today, was my first long drive since my surgery last September!

I can now use my legs without pain.

I went to my favorite « cafe », « the two zebras » it is belonging to twins. This is a cafe and restaurant.

Yesterday, was the first day of the sales. Today, I walked in town, watched the shop windows and found some things to buy.

I found a scarf, ear rings and trousers. I walked three Km whiteout my stick.

I spent the whole morning out and had a chat with people I know in the town and it was so good and I enjoyed myself!
