Matchbox Xmas gift.

 While we were in the Netherlands, we needed a little bit of “sugar, confort food” and we bought ourselves two Italian biscuits, mine was with limoncello and my husband with almond. As soon as I saw the little box for the biscuits I had an idea! And next I bought “Country Living “ magazine and there is something about matchbox gift.

I can’t put the picture, but if you get the magazine you’ll find it. In fact I did it my own way.

It was of this colour before.

This morning I began my painting work.

Beginning the painting, but the weather is very greyish and it is difficult to work with the light.

There will be rocks, lighthouses and boats. I already did part of the clouds ( need to add a little grey)

Put some of the seagulls. The big white paint will support one lighthouse. Better to have a white background.

These will be the waves, rocks and lighthouses upside down 🙃. BUT! I am too impatient and had a problem with the stickers ( the paint was not dry enough, did it yesterday, but paint is really dry after a few days.

I manage to repair my impatience!

Hope it will stick correctly on the paint. Then I will have to put the varnish.

It is going to be a stressful job ! Wish me good luck not to ruin the whole thing.

Feeling better and finished the work.

 Today, the temperature will be around 35C but feeling 39 C! 102,2 F . Closing all doors and windows early this morning I have 25 C downstairs, but upstairs it is more than 25 but we have air conditioning upstairs so we can sleep well.

This weekend I was a little sore after my fall, but I continued my cupboard transformation and it is done!

The garden is suffering from the heat and some days ago we had a thunderstorm and strong wind  and we discovered a big broken branch, the third one from this tree. It is about 40 years old and I don’t know if it will survive ???

But I have a few of these that are are still in the ground and I have a couple of them in the ground that I have to keep in the ground for a while to keep them alive and I have a lot of them in my garden and I have a bunch of them in a pot that I can keep in the garden for a while and I have a few of them in there that I can plant in the ground and I can put them in the ground 

I like the toile de jouy on the doors, but it was quite difficult to do for this piece of furniture is hand made and has more than a 100 years. It was in my child bedroom 

And my father founded it in a cellar full of apple cider 

Needless to say it was in a bad condition but he restored it

And I am glad to have made this transformation .

I already did the outside transformation a few months ago.

My cake stands have now a place in it

I just have to finish installing the led lamps in some places.

I think I ´ll go upstairs with the air conditioning ! It is TOO hot! 🥵 

DIY painting .

I wanted, the before and after, but blogger decided the contrary!

I had this wooden stool for years and always said I was going to paint it… yesterday, I did. I had some paint left from the table I have painted in my shed and decided I was going to use it.

It took me the day to cover it with two coats of paint and sand it before, but now it is done!

The weather is beautiful and not too hot and we will work on the shed again.. It is a hard work and I don’t want to work three days on it, too tiring. We again have a three days weekend and I will rest, too much people on the roads! We will stay home.

Working for my shed decoration.

Blogger decided of the pictures order!

I started to aged  my table with  ancient bronze patina while waiting the top to dry to work the last layer. The paint on top is « couleurs d’ici bleu encre  V33 »

I Hope it won’t be too long to dry, because I don’t like to wait, I am impatient to see the result.

Hello Friends,

Today, I first went to cut a bunch of lilac, but the rain had ruined them! No lilac this year!

Then I decided to do some painting. Before tomorrow which is a bank holiday and my husband and I will work on my shed. So I paint a table I want to put inside and used paint I had in stock.

This is the first layer of paint, but should be between blue and purple.Now I am waiting for the paint to dry and paint the second layer.

Yesterday morning I found three babies sparrows dead in front of the house. The parents throw them out of the nest when dead. I don’t like to find them. And under the weeping willow three babies  black birds! Each year more and more dead baby birds, I wonder why? 

 

My craft room and DIY

On Saturday, we decided to reorganise my craft room.

We went to IKEA and got a small sofa for me and Bandit. 

This morning I painted this small side table.
