A windy day and windmills.

Evening walk and drink 🥤 

Today, the temperature is back to normal after a very hot and stormy night. We had our breakfast with local cheese and ham, apple juice, coffee ( very good coffee) bred with homemade rhubarb jam and scrambled eggs 🥚 

I did not have lunch it was enough for the day. We will have supper at the hotel.

Then we went in a brocante I saw on our local tv. It is a nice place with lots of antiques and vintage stuff.

I bought the doll coffee set at the back on the right. It dates back around 1940. I have already two from my mother. I also found some vintage photos.

We will have a short rest, before a walk by the sea and supper at the hotel tonight .

A very hot day.

Today, we went to the windmill to get some fresh flour then we decided to go shopping. We are used to go shopping each time we go there.

Afterwards, we went to have lunch in a crowded beach restaurant, the temperature was around 30 in the sun and many people on the beach and swimming. The temperature in the sea was very nice and cool , refreshing!

We came back to the hotel, had a shower and get dressed for our restaurant outing . We had a big tray of grilled fish.

The first picture is the kitchen where they grilled meat and fish.

It was early in the morning and a lot misty.

We also bought some Gouda cheese!

They have big shops in the pedestrian streets and one of the shops has a lot of different soaps. I like the perfume of soaps and I use to keep them with the laundry 🧺 to give a nice perfume.

 We did not go for our usual walk along the canal as there was a Three events contest, they had to run, ride a bike and swim in the canal and there were so many people from the Netherlands and Belgium early in the morning, but not in the shops!

Tonight, after the heat of the day, there is a lot of rain and thunder! It will be cooler tomorrow with wind.💨 

Tomorrow , we will visit some brocantes on our way.

Hello Friends 

We left this morning and drove North to Calais, Boulogne

Then to Bruges in Belgium and headed to the Netherlands 

🇳🇱 and finally arrived at Cadzand-Bad our destination.

We stopped on the motorway at the Baie de Somme and had a Starbucks latte macchiato and carrot cake for me!

They already had the Autumn pumpkin drinks !

We had our lunch on the beach . Cheese kroketen

Sunday finds.

On Sunday, we went to a little decoration shop I like and this is what I found a painted canvas for Fall.

It took it’s place on the fireplace before Xmas decorations 

I started the Fall decoration before our holidays and will get some more decorations in the Netherlands

Find a special Autumn and winter mug for my herbal tea.

 I love this little mug! I saw some mushrooms 🍄 on the Facebook of the shop in the Netherlands , I would like to get two of them.

Starting to go out again and a nice outing

Hello Friends!

After not being well at all for some days I could go out today with my husband and we decided to go to one of my favourite decoration shop and then we decided to go to the “Champs de Bataille” castle. We walked quietly in the alley of the garden and visited the new English and Indian garden. Here are some pictures and videos of our afternoon.

Tomorrow I must prepare our travel to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 

And keep fit until then.
