 Hello Friends !

It is cooler  here 13 degrees C, rain and wind but Maxime uses an umbrella against the sun and heat! He saw one of the guards at his school entrance with an umbrella to protect himself from the sun and asked dad to get one for himself! But he des appears under this big umbrella. He is going to school with it!

The weather actually is very hot and damp with fog. They really need rain to cool down the temperature.

Tomorrow Mr L is home and we will go out to the supermarket and go for a walk if the rain is not too heavy. 

The five pigeons are having their breakfast in the garden, Bandit if feeling a little better today he went for a little walk with his dad.

This morning I put the AC on warm ( it can do cold and warm) to warm up the house this morning. This winter we will use wood in the stove and AC instead of our oil heater oil being very expensive at the moment. With the stove in the fireplace it was about 22/23downstairs and now I am testing the AC downstairs we will see…

Mr L buys a lot of food for birds and pigeons so we have a lot round there!

Autumn 🍂 lights.

Since a few days, we have Autumn temperature and night falls very early, so I like to stay inside and have some little lights around me. It’s time to use blankets , armchair and a good book!

I did not work on the desk, but had some appointments.

Tomorrow, back to work and do the varnish and finish the desk and begin a new idea 💡 !

 

Fall has arrived !

On Sunday, I did not know what to do, so I decided to decorate the mantel for Fall.

Here Fall has arrived and it is nice 😊 

So instead of decorating after our holidays I started yesterday.

Some news from Dubai! I will have a second grandson!

The baby is a little boy again due in March!

I made this crown I bought for 4 euros instead of 20 in the shop that is closing. The leaves 🍁 and flowers are from Action, I glued them on the little crown.

This past weekend was busy, on Saturday we went to change our internet provider and it was laborious ! Tings go so quickly nowadays… I decided not to give up and subscribe to some courses to stay «  Connected ! »  and update my knowledge !

Mr L we to take the dog for a walk in the forest behind our home and brought some mushrooms for my Fall decoration and I went to the garden to get my little apples between two showers.

I also went to get a new pumpkin for my mantel decoration, I like the velvet shades.

I found the brooch nice for Autumn . During my holidays I bought this oversized coat and this cotton dress for mid seasons. They are both very confortable 

I knitted a snood to go with it.
 

Yesterday I cooked and baked , a crumble and a « Carbonade Flamande » typical dish from the north, beef meat cooked in beer with mustard on gingerbread usually with french fries, but we have it with steamed potatoes.

I know the recipe, but I saw it in « my magazine « Esprit d’ici » and it gave the idea to cook one.

It cooks for three hours but it so good!

Fall mantel decoration .

Today I went to have a look at the washing machines to replace the one I had and got some wool to  knit 🧶 

Some bookstore read, four books.

I also found some autumn leaves 🍁 to end my decoration.

I like country decoration and got a new sheep 🐑 

 

The outside temperature is16 C and it’s nice to stay inside knitting or reading a good book 📚 !

Pumpkins and Fall decoration

Today I am starting my Fall decoration. I found these 

Little pumpkins in the Netherlands.

This one I bought it in the small town next to my village, it directly comes from the USA . The lady from the shop often goes abroad and order some decoration items from other countries.

She is now at Cape Cod and I am sure she will get some new items. Yesterday I saw some new colours of pumpkins in her shop

And I may get another one for my decoration.

 I went in the garden and began to pick my tiny apples for my decoration. This year because of the hot and dry weather I did not have big pumpkins in the garden and will have to buy one.

We have been told on tv that this winter we may have electricity cuts because of a lack of energy. 

I registered on a list in order to get e mails three days before the cuts and to use less electrical items during this period.  I think we will have to live with a pull over in our houses this winter and lower the temperature of our heaters!

 

This week end I must go to get some more books, wool and fabric, like a squirrel 🐿 I prepare winter!
