Baking and planing.

Hello!

This morning, I have been busy baking, while washing machine was doing the work.

I tried for the first time to bake Speculoos.

My daughter had brought me this wooden speculoos making thing from Belgium and I tried to use it.

It is not perfect but I have to make some more to get correct biscuits.

Today, we are having 5C but ☀️ sun and sun for the rest of the week and weekend!

I am going to start this big jigsaw my son gave me for Xmas. I think it will be quite hard.

This is the windmill I wanted to make.

I love Hyacinths and especially white ones. Their perfume is spreading in the room.

 I also made 18 yogurts and a Brioche.

We are planing to go back to the Netherlands  as soon as we can. Bandit will go to the kennel and we will go to the North Sea to have some fresh air without a 😷

I miss the long walks on the beach!

We will go there as usual by car and we will stop to Bruges on the way. Hope to be able to go there very soon!

Laundry make over and Brioche.

 As I told you this first brioche was… a brick!

But I did not dispair  and baked a second one before the bread machine left the house and go to the thrift store!

And this time was a success !

I tasted it with some of my peach jam and it was very good, Bandit agrees!

At the same time, as it was 30 C outside, I stayed inside and worked on my Fall display and used my little glass cloches.

Today, we will have thunderstorm, the heat will come down this afternoon with the rain.

The painter did not want to paint the splash back,but I had some paint in stock and I decided to try… and it is done , no waste I don’t have to change it!

The window will be changed and will be white.

On Saturday, I found these light grey plastic baskets to keep vases…on the shelf.

I still have to paint two pieces of furniture, but wait for Mr L to carry them. The new windows will be plain, no wood squares.

It will be better with a new white boiler than this orange colour.

I have got some work left, but have plenty of time to do it.

Week end DIY , morning light and home made Brioche

 Hello Friends,

First of all, thank you for your visits and comments it is always a pleasure to read you.

Today, the light outside was very nice this morning, so I took some picture of my front garden and the field at the back.

Yesterday,I baked a « brioche » for the weekend breakfast.

Then with vintage music sheets from a Brocante I like to cover polystyrene balls with these music sheets and then display them in the house. I use mod Podge .
