Start in February with 

DIL, Maud, then William  and dad Romain March and SIL Maxime and grandma April, finally grandpa in May!!!

Our baby will be 40 in a few days!

Surprise! I have just seen this bird. Never saw before, we don’t have much colourful birds here, I love its colours so beautiful. It’s a Bouvreuil.

 Hello friends,

 On Saturday,we went shopping in the little town of Bernay

Mr L had already bought a shirt on sale last week, but had seen another one he’d like! Fortunately it was still there!

Then we went to get new clothes for our grandson William to join his toy gift for his birthday beginning of March.

We had lunch in our favourite place, on our way went to my favourite shop and got a pair of new jeans with 70%off the last sales.

Then we decided to go to the bookshop in another place called Louviers and there I found a new cookbook, quick healthy recipes with my air fryer.

This is what I found for William, I already have got his Birthday present and a new parcel will be sent this week!

On Sunday we worked to sort out our numerous Christmas decorations and things we don’t need anymore.

Today, the weather is horrible and I did the usual laundry, vacuum…this afternoon i will rest a little and read.

A little book about the famous little black dress.

Yesterday ML found the book I was looking for , for a long time. This collection on the famous French “Couturiers” has been very successful and i couldn’t get it this one is about  the story of Gabrielle Chanel .

I love this little book, very interesting, but unfortunately I can’t put pictures on line.

Her style and “little black dress”have   been famous as her tweed twin sets.

This is a collection about famous French “Couturiers “I will continue to get.

After the cardiologist, this is my punishment! Take my blood pressure twice a day over three days 😂

 I did not believe it, but yesterday we had a little snow!

ML is taking the dog for a walk and then we’re going to sort out Christmas decorations we have not done after the children have left.

Today we are having a little sun!🌞 

 

Knitting by the fire.

Hello Friends !

Well, it is cold here and we are expecting some snow ⛄️ 

I thought it was getting cooler, but no…

Some time ago I knitted myself some mittens with some wool my daughter had brought me from Iceland.

I had some thinner wool left and I decided to use it and make new thinner mittens.

The wind is rather cold and we must have the light on..

This morning i made some soup for the weekend : zucchini, curry and cheese called « vache qui rit »

Then endives with coco milk, curcuma and garlic. They are ready in the fridge and this afternoon chocolate muffins and scones.

Yesterday I visited our neighbours and had an hour chat.

And knitting 🧶 while the muffins are in the oven.

The program of the weekend will depend on on the weather 🌦️. Saturday will be cold , but if it doesn’t snow we will go to have a look for new lamps  for our bedroom and also  have a lot to sort out in the workshop, especially Christmas decorations and things to donate.

I also will have a conversation with our grandson Maxime on Skype and see little William.

Yesterday William ‘s winter clothes went to another little baby boy and I am pleased to know this little boy will be warm. 

This will be our program for a winter weekend!

We are waiting for better weather to have a break.

Our dog Bandit is feeling better for the moment and we can sleep…

Hello Friends,

This morning has been hectic ! After having a bad reaction after my Covid vaccin ( pericarditis) I had an appointment in urgency with a cardiologist. My husband was coming with me. But during the night our dog has been sick and we had to be up part of the night, we did hear the alarm and were very, very late! We had to rush and phone the medical center. We hate to be late and made excuses for our 10 mn late arrival. No need  to say that my blood pressure was very high!

Next, I phoned the firm to have our trees trimmed before Spring.

This afternoon I meet the young mother to give her our grandchildren‘s clothes. 

I bought peanuts for the blue tits they are very found of peanuts.

The weather is back to grey and damp, but there are signs of Spring in the garden.

I am trying to relax this afternoon ! 😂 

A sunny 🌞 cold beginning of week.

Today, it’s still cold, but sunny and blue sky through the haze. 

Yesterday we had our lunch in a crêperie in Honfleur, we discovered the organic without alcohol cider which was very tasty and good.

Then in the afternoon we had a waffle and a hot chocolate.

We decided  to leave on time before the rush on the motorway 🛣️ which is going to Paris.

It was the first time we use d the payment of the motorway on our phone and don’t have to stop and pay at the machines. ( we already used it in Dubai long ago)

 

I found a new book about watercolour to learn how to paint wild flowers.

On Saturday I went to my favourite clothing shop for the end of the sales. I received a message it was 70% off! I found three tops and three pairs of jeans.

Last week I reorganised my kitchen shelf 

And i sorted out my cook book and recipes. Today, it will be a quiet day. The nurse came this morning for my blood test, tomorrow I go to the hairdresser and this week  I’ll meet the young mother to give her  the clothes my grandchildren don’t need anymore, we must choose the day.

The sun 🌞 is here and I may go for a little walk!

Our Sunday outing to Honfleur!

Hello Friends!

So glad to have blue sky and sun!

We left this morning with the frost and fog, but so happy to go to Honfleur! It is 80 kms from home, and it is quick by the motorway.

This is Sainte Catherine’s church in Honfleur.

There were still the nativity display for Christmas.

Honfleur is a very touristic town on the Normandy coast.

This weekend a lot of people had the same idea and went out to the coast.

Then we left for Trouville and had a walk by the sea ( we walked 6 kms)

We were SO glad to go out after one month of heavy rain!

We enjoy our day on the Normand coast! It was cold but sunny 🌞!
