Snowy and cold weather.🌦️

Last year’s pictures. Only cold, frost and little snow today but it does not stay long on the ground.. in the past we had snow like on the pictures and I remember having -12 C

But not anymore so last year was a surprise!

It is cold here! After the sand from Sahara and heat we have now polar cold! 🥶 it is very cold. No snow last night but it is difficult to know if we can go to the sea as there maybe snow on our way. Last year at this time we already had ⛄️ snow I selected some last year pictures on the same month of November.

If we stay one I will make dried fruits especially oranges 🍊 today.

While my husband was on duty I started making, or I should say trying to make ginger bread houses… not easy!

And continued my watercolour exercises.

These ones are Christmas ones.

Hello Friends!

Today I will “keep calm and carry on” it’s very quiet here during the cold months. You’ll certainly laugh when you’re going to see the amount of snow on my outside table! But it is reassuring to have snow ⛄️ and not 17degrees C  in November! I remember in the past to have a lot of snow especially for Christmas and it was nice going to church on Christmas Eve.

I found this picture on Facebook on the Normandie site. At the moment this is the time and the place for catching scallops on our coast. There is Saint Michel Mount an abbey, the apples for our cider, Normand cows and typical Normand costume. I found it very cute.

A second one  about our coasts with fields, apple trees, lighthouse, Normand houses and cliffs.

 This is the big cheddar scone to eat with some soup.

Views of Christmas decorations 

Last night I made a butternut soup and found on a blog a big cheddar scone to eat with it. As you can see I tested it… and it’s SO tasty! Then we had grilled salmon and cooked apples 🍎 

Now it is 3 degrees C and the sun is shining! I may go out for a little walk. This weekend my husband is on duty on Saturday and we will see what to do on Sunday…

Hello Friends!

Saturday I was not feeling too well so grandpa did some shopping on his own, but yesterday I was a little better so we went out in the afternoon it was 17 degrees C!

We gained 17 degrees in one day???

One of The only shops opened  on Saturday had some Christmas decorations, so we bought some for the garden and also some lights.

This morning I made some jam and little pots of jams I found yesterday for the children .

Banana coconut and yellow kiwis and grapefruit.

Grandpa built the baby bouncer for William 

Grandma had a rest colouring a Christmas picture from my Dutch magazine “Daphne’s diary”

 And this is  a part of what fell from the roof, better not be underneath!

Now I will prepare the meals and rest, knitting and watching tv, not doing much!

I feel a little better with the treatment for the moment waiting for my clinic appointment in December.

Snow storm called Caetano very unusual ! We could have 10cm snow today!

Now it is snowing a lot and Mr L may have problems to come home tonight as he will have a steep slope to climb

And as we did not have snow anymore we did not buy snow tires.

Hello friends 

I said, I was going to do a blog pause…but something very unusual happened today! SNOW!

We did not had snow for long and it arrived all of a sudden!it is constantly snowing and I am resting at home for the moment, so no need to go out for me.

 I don’t know how much snow we are going to get by the end of the day!

Snow and miniature Anthurium terrarium

 Last Friday after a nice warm weather , this is what we discovered in the morning.

Last night we had a storm  called Diego and today very heavy rain!  ☔️ 

I had to go out and saw this miniature Anthurium last week end and made a gift to myself.

I love these small plants under a cloche.

Tonight I am waiting for Mr L with Japanese 🍱 food

On Friday evening i don’t cook, this is the beginning of the weekend!
