The Beffroi.

We went to the sea yesterday morning and spent the day there. We had our lunch at a fishmonger. You choose your fish in the shop, they grilled it or fried it and the you eat outside with some fries. 🍟 it, s really a nice place to eat fresh fish.

We also had a latte macchiato in the beach restaurant.

My husband visited the Beffroi ( I couldn’t go up the stairs I was to tired by the 5 or 7 kms we walked each day)

But he has explained me and took pictures.

This was the place where was they render justice and where was the Bourgmestre ( the Lord Mayor) was.

 

These bells are ringing every half hour and hours.

Today, we will be on our way back going through Belgium 🇧🇪 and back to France 🇫🇷.

Tomorrow I’ll have to go and get Bandit from the kennel!

Hello friends !

From our brocante visits, I found these vintage photos for my crafts. Using photocopies of them for the children ´s room.

I will have to prepare Maxime’s bedroom for Xmas 

Sew some new curtains and buy new furniture, do some decoration so it will keep me busy!

We decided to go back for a stay in the Netherlands in October, it’s only 4 hours drive from home.

Yesterday, it was supposed to be a dry sunny day, but we had hail and thunder so I couldn’t clean my windows.

It will be today , it is cold and sunny for the moment so I think I’ll be able to clean them.

Tomorrow we decided to work in the garden.

I must go and do my treadmill exercises !

Today a place I like to eat in « Retranchement »

My favorite dishes «  cheese croquettes and apple pie »

Now we are going to the sea and walk to eliminate the calories! The place is very friendly and we always come here even on new year day!

We did some shopping this morning !
 

Happy to be in the Netherlands again!

We arrived in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 after a quite and quick travel 3 hours and a half.

The shops closing at 6 we had time for our shopping 

Especially the cheese 🧀 

Then we went to have supper here it begins at six and end at eight, so you better hurry if you want to eat!

We had asparagus with smocked salmon and new potatoes and then the best part! Appel pie with cinnamon. I did not want cream with it.

Then we had a walk around the lake, but did not see the geese.

 

Not very nice when you have a stork nest on your chimney !

If you look you can see the stork on her nest.

Now we are in our room have a rest to continue tomorow!
