A new year and a new travel to come .

On Sunday, we stayed home.My husband did some morning shopping and I have organised or try to organise my wardrobe as I had  new pieces on Saturday.
In the afternoon we did some painting watercolour for me and number painting for my husband he is not satisfied with his work so I’ll have to look at it tomorrow to see what’s wrong.

I had a phone call from my son in law who asked me if I had something to do for him in the house… of course I have!

Then I had a Skype with our grandchildren and son.
In fact we decided I was going to visit them in Dubai for three weeks. We will see the results of my medical explorations but anyhow I will go to see my son and grandsons they are not coming for Christmas and I miss them a lot. Time flies and I think it’s time to go before I get too old 😂 ! ( soon in April I will change decade)

Where our son lives is in a village in the center of a big town. This is where I go when I have a walk but I can tell you better walk in the shade ! And this is where William’s nursery is.
This is where I continue to go to Burj Kahlifa and the big Mall when I want to walk but have air conditioning !
Burj Khalifa tower. I went on top twice and the elevator goes very fast indeed
The lake where I watch the Dubaï fountains show      At night with music
There are some during the day too
Around the flat the village is car less nice to walk with nice Bougainvilleas

This is in the Dubai Mall close to the flat

This was the view from the flat they have moved now but still in the same building I don’t know what will be the new view.
Still from the flat
The big door downstairs is a little Mall with Spinney supermarket
The fountain show at night.
The opera close to the flat

I hope you enjoyed the visit!
I should be there by January hope everything goes well until then!
Thank you for your visit.

  1. Dear Catherine, I hope you can travel, visit them and you will feel better for doing it.
The high buildings are nice but I like those old(?) houses with the flowers better.
I hope your husband will be happy with his watercolor paintings after you helped him figure out the problems.
All the best to you! Éva

  2. I always enjoy seeing your watercolor paintings. You really should be framing and hanging them up. They would be great gifts for your kids and grandsons too.
