Yesterday we finally went to the chateau D’Argeronne which is an hotel ( chambres d’hôtes) wedding and seminars in an Orangery. A beautiful place but I forgot to take a picture. Instead of going to the sea because we did not know if it was going to snow.
A 17 th Century castle!
A pigeon house ( only for the upper class) and woods for hunting with hounds.
This was the farming part
We had heating and wood fire inside
The beautiful stairs
I could not take many pictures of the artisans but the picture was hand made baby clothes in Toile de Jouy

It was very nice.
The entrance of the chateau
A grasshopper garden decoration as there was a landscaper enterprise exhibition
This is the guest house
And the famous pigeon house! This one is still in a very good state.
There were only good quality gifts for Christmas and all was nice to look at!

Then my husband found some earrings and I had to choose a pair. It is made with peacock feathers and two different pheasants feathers 🪶 and I found a mohair and silk hand knitted scarf to match with my earrings . These people have cattle of Mohair goats 🐐 and do there own will.

I wish you a nice week!

It was a good decision to go there instead of the uncertain weather at sea.
RépondreSupprimerI really like the railings along the stairs. I especially like the photo of it inside.
The pictures of the wood-burning fireplace and the flowers are also beautiful.
What a scarf!
Thanks for the report and I wish you a nice week too. Éva
