View from my window and very little snow!⛄️

View from my window this morning.
Hello Friends!
Today I will “keep calm and carry on” it’s very quiet here during the cold months. You’ll certainly laugh when you’re going to see the amount of snow on my outside table! But it is reassuring to have snow ⛄️ and not 17degrees C  in November! I remember in the past to have a lot of snow especially for Christmas and it was nice going to church on Christmas Eve.

I found this picture on Facebook on the Normandie site. At the moment this is the time and the place for catching scallops on our coast. There is Saint Michel Mount an abbey, the apples for our cider, Normand cows and typical Normand costume. I found it very cute.
A second one  about our coasts with fields, apple trees, lighthouse, Normand houses and cliffs.

This is the big cheddar scone to eat with some soup.
Views of Christmas decorations

Last night I made a butternut soup and found on a blog a big cheddar scone to eat with it. As you can see I tested it… and it’s SO tasty! Then we had grilled salmon and cooked apples 🍎
Now it is 3 degrees C and the sun is shining! I may go out for a little walk. This weekend my husband is on duty on Saturday and we will see what to do on Sunday…
I wish you a nice day.

Scrapbooking , souvenirs and Christmas table decorations

Hello Friends!
Just showing you a Christmas table decorated table!
Little by little 😂
I think I will slowly begin to decorate for Christmas 🎄

This is the weather a few minutes ago, now the sky is dark and it is raining a lot.
During many years I have been doing scrapbooking
Collecting pictures when travelling for our children
These are my scrapbooking books. During the years I have noticed that I had to glue back in place some photos and letters, so i decided to do it today.
Yesterday, Sandie  asked me how many countries I have visited?
Well the answer is 20 countries.
But living  in France it is easy to visit European countries which are not so far and then go further.
When I was a student  we had a student  railway pass and as I loved the train I had the opportunity to travel through Europe a lot.
As I am working on my scrapbooking books, let me show you some of the pages I made.
This is about Norway and I used 3D technique
In fact I printed 3 or 4 photos, cut some pieces off and with 3D glue I superimpose the pieces I had cut to  highlight some details. I love doing that!

I did it with the boat ⛴️ it looks like if it will pop out the page!  In my childhood I had pop up books and I loved them. Maybe it’s why…
These are the Netherlands and I love the thatched house so I did it too

I love to do it with architectural details

And fun with the cows!
Another technique ( I don’t remember if I did it in a course or did it by myself??)
Looking for missing letters to glue back in place

I will have to glue back the letters for  Canada 🍁

We had great fun there! I have enjoyed all the countries I have visited and met beautiful people there!
Hope you enjoy your day and thank you for visiting.

From a book to souvenirs.

Hello Friends,
After reading the « Girl with a pearl » by Tracy Chevalier in English, I am back to French, but read a Japanese book. I love Japanese culture and literature and have read many books. It’s a very good book ( from my point of view) full of sensitivity.

Made me think of my first visit to Japan when I was 18.

I have worked during my summer holidays to buy my plane ticket and visited my friend Masako in Tokyo for the summer months. We met as we were «  Au Pair » in England and then she stayed in France with my family for Christmas and before going back to Japan.
This reminded me of the picture of me in front of the beautiful  impressive  statue of Bouddha in Kamakura.

We are both here « young » and having fun!
It’s now a long time ago…
Today, we had the first frost, the boiler is on and I went to have my hair cut yesterday and did the grocery. So today will be cooking day, craft, knitting and reading day and catching up with blogs.
At 6 o’clock I’ll follow the live from my favourite clothes shop and then we’ll certainly work on the puzzle 🧩.
This will be my day 😃!
Hope you’ll day will be a fine day.
Thank you for visiting.

What to do on a rainy Sunday?

This is what we did together yesterday afternoon
I have one more to make on the same subject vegetables
It is not finished but soon!
Starting a new puzzle.
And finished another small one

Hello friends !
This morning I received pictures and videos from my son. Dad has got a new car  and all the family tested it by going to « Sea world » Abu Dhabi .
Maxime and his brother are having lunch with the pingouins what a nice place for children to have their lunch!
Last Spring we went to an outing and we went to Jumieges Abbey to have a walk in the park these are the pictures I took and the last one is from Facebook « Normandie tourisme »

I like this Fall one with all the leaves.

With these rainy days I started a new watercolour
And made myself a latte with our new coffee maker

Hello Friends!
Today we have a new problem! Since yesterday no more internet 🛜 they are coming on Saturday afternoon to fix it. Our Saturday projects are changed. We had ordered something for Saturday so I s have spent my morning driving to get it, so it’s done.
Do you like cuckoos?  I bought one for my parents in Switzerland.🇨🇭 I took some pictures of quite expensive ones.
Once we have spent Christmas Eve and day in Bruges and this is a shop I like. I know Linda has a little Christmas windmill ( I have one myself my son brought it for me when he went to Germany with his school)

I love them! For the moment we have no TV and I use 5G
I hope they’ll be able to fix it on Saturday!
