Good weekend!

 

This and that… and a Birthday! 🎂

 Hello friends!

Today, is my husband’s Birthday we will go out this weekend to the restaurant for a Birthday party.🥳!

Today we will have a high temperature 28 degrees C only today and tomorrow ( for the moment)

So I did my ironing this morning ( a big ironing! Many of my husband shirts!) we have been a lot out so I was late.

This afternoon I stay inside and read while doing the laundry. Yesterday was religious bank holiday and I tomorrow there is the weekend and I will have to prepare the house for next week’s work in the house and in the garden, a busy week.

This year I found this scarf necklace and this sun shield to go with it we begin to need Summer clothes here, but next week the temperature will go down to 20 C and some rain.

This is part of my work! 😂

Here in France it is Mother’s Day today! So Happy Mother’s Day to all of you!

Baking and cooking.

 Hello Friends !

First of all, thank you for your prayers. My son just woke up from his surgery in Dubaï and is ok drinking a coffee he has sent me a selfie!

This morning the sun is shining, but it is chilly. Yesterday I baked Mari’s recipe cookies ( from: My little corner of the world) they are really very good with our coffees !

My husband has had some for his breakfast with his coffee this morning.

Last evening I have cut some rhubarb from the garden and a few strawberries. I have cooked the rhubarb to eat with yogurt, such a nice colour !

Delicious cookies! I have made them a bit thicker but how good!

And I used tuna and spinach with béchamel to bake lasagne for tonight.

I must take the cookies away from my view! I must not eat  too much cookies! 😂 

My arm surgery is better from day to day.

Tomorrow we have an appointment as we both broke our glasses! To get new ones!

A lazy day …

Our field is growing so quickly the grass is very high!

It will be cut soon fortunately !

 Hello Friends !

Today, the sun 🌞 is back! Not for long…rain during the weekend ! I will go back to my daily routine it is too say reading in my bed before I get up with Bandit my dog when there is nothing special to do in the day.

The problem is when I read it is hard to stop… better have a timer ⏱️ !

As a mother I worry about my son’s surgery tomorrow ( after the mother, the son !) he is far away and it is hard not to be there. He already had two surgeries last year this will be an outpatient surgery but he will have to work from home for a week. Too much sports and having hernia!

I hope everything goes well tomorrow for him.

This rest of the week will be quite and I am glad not to do much! Sometimes it is nice to be lazy ! Don’t you think so?

New in my Summer wardrobe.

 Hello Friends !

Today, it is rainy and back to cold weather. I am staying inside and have an afternoon rest.

This morning I received a new Summer dress but I don’t think I’ll wear it today! Last night we watched « Foyle ´s war » on tv we like to watch  this TV series in the evening.

It is so dark in the house I had to find a place to take a picture 

The weeping willow is growing so fast this Spring it is becoming huge.

New in my wardrobe, not easy to take pictures but I found blouses that go with my trousers and a crochet top to go on my navy blue dress and new casual fabric bag for the summer. I am waiting to better weather to wear them 😂

This and that…

Hello Friends,

I am back from hospital last night, today I feel good and did the laundry. We had a problem with our telemonitoring yesterday and today someone came to fix it.

I had a phone call from the firm who is going to to install a new air conditioner in a second bedroom it will be on the  be three weeks earlier than expected ! 

I t will take a whole day and the end of May will be busy preparing everything.

A few weeks ago I found this new rose tea cup and saucer.

From our holidays I brought very good honey and I already used some today on cooked apples 🍎 so good!

On June the second we will have the field behind the house mowed and hedge cut a lot to be done before summer holidays.

Our daughter and SIL have returned from their 700 km  or 435 miles bike 🚲 ride from Germany to Hungary.

Now I must go back to my daily routine before a new vacation in September and prepare for our son and family arrival for the summer.

Hello Friends!

A sweet video of a mother duck and ducklings and one of the bay(Baie de Somme)

Every morning and evening were the animals feeding and lots of fighting for food! 😂 

There were also buffaloes, donkeys, sheep and pigs, a big family!

This was were we stayed first floor and the big park of the little farm. We could hear all the animals and it was fun!

The restaurant was next to the hotel.

It was comfortable but no WiFi! So I do my post when we arrive home.

Far away was one of the place for birdwatching, we had binoculars and a guide who explained us the migration of the different birds mostly in Africa.

They are sitting on their eggs , 🥚 hatching  🐣 before returning to their destination with the new born in September.
