Hello Friends !

What do we do during our weekend ???

Well, we started yesterday morning by driving to get some food for our dog from the vet 12 kms away… then we went to have lunch and do a little shopping for my husband. We ate the most terrible lunch we ever had! Horrible !

Then we suddenly decided we didn’t want to go home! 80 kms later we were by the sea!

No more tourists as the school begins on Monday they were all in the supermarkets.

It did not rain and the temperature was nice, it was another nice day in our lives!

I found a new woollen scarf ( very warm and thin woven one)

I am now working on on a Christmas shop window from Paris.

There are four       Stages      Of beach cabins along the shore.

Now on Sunday we are resting, reading and watching tv.

Today Maxime will be free of his arm cast!

By the way on the 11th of September we are going to have a big general strike in the country. No train, no planes, roads blocked, hospitals, schools… better anticipating !

A nice day out on the coast

This house is “Henry 4 house” very old house, because Henry the 4 stayed in the house. (16th century)

Today it was cold and misty
 

We left this morning and decided to go to the sea on the Normand coast. This is a typical fishing village, well known here and in Summer it is very crowded. So today it was grey and cold the ideal day to avoid the crowd!

I took some video of the smallest “river” of France which goes into the sea ( Manche) this is “ Veules les Roses” ( the Chanel )

This is the River Veules( like the river Seine) but tiny!

We had lunch there. This village is a very nice romantic place . We had a very nice day!

A little bit of freshness!

Today a little bit of fresh air after the heat of these last days nearly 40 C! The plants have been suffering, half my sweet peas are dead , four baby sparrows dead and thrown out of the nest. We had to water in the evenings and mornings but we will be soon in water restriction.

This village is well known for it’s roses it’s name been “Veules les roses”

I love this wind mill this is a little path with the shade of the trees and the freshness of water.

It is a river like the river Seine, but the smallest of France!

These are photos I took a few months ago. The village been too crowded in summer and it was so hot these last days it was not possible to go out and resist the heat. After thunderstorm hail and rain we lost 10 degrees! 🥵

A stormy day.

On this Sunday, I had the idea to go and see the storm on the sea side. I think this storm’s name is Aurore.

We also went to see the smallest River of France La Veules .

We first had a sandwich in our car shaken by the strong wind, then when we went out we had heavy rain and strong wind, but it was nice to breathe fresh air from the sea with no mask!

We walked along the sea and got dry by the wind very quickly!

The waves were huge and the pebbles were flying with the huge waves, some big ones.

 We went back home and found that the storm  was following us .

We won’t be sleeping quietly tonight, to much wind blowing!
