A little weekend outing.

Hello Friends,

Today, we went out to breathe fresh air, have our lunch by the sae and walk 5 kms.

We drove through rapeseeds fields (a lot) this beautiful yellow colour. We saw potato 🥔 fields, and flax fields which is beginning to come out and this will be a beautiful blue colour. These pictures are from last year but the fields will be of this colour soon.

After we drove through the countryside we arrived at the sea ( the Channel in French La Manche sea) it was still cool and the sea was a bit rough, but I like it !

We walked by the cliffs and enjoyed the sun and light wind.

 Next weekend we won’t be able to go out because our dog will have his surgery on next Saturday, so we enjoyed our weekend!

( I don’t know if our grandsons will be able to go back to Dubai next week???) we will see…hope all will settle soon!

On Saturday we went to my favorite clothing shop and I found new Spring clothes I’ll show you next time !

A Sunday on the coast.

Hi Friends !

Yesterday, we finally went on the coast for the day.

It was nice, but still cold with a breeze. The air was strong and we were worn out in the evening and slept very well!

We had a salad for Mr My a bruschetta for me and a lemon 🍋 cheese cake in our favourite little place.

We needed a break from the stressful news.

We may have our son’s family home if things don’t settle and get worse. If they can get a plane… so yesterday we walked by the sea and breathed fresh air! Very fresh indeed! 😂 this was on our Normandie coast “Saint Valery en Caux.”

Today, the weather is foggy and I stay home. I will have to do a little shopping tomorrow get some fruits and vegetables.

It was nice to have a break from the news!

A nice day out on the coast

We left this morning and decided to go to the sea on the Normand coast. This is a typical fishing village, well known here and in Summer it is very crowded. So today it was grey and cold the ideal day to avoid the crowd!

I took some video of the smallest “river” of France which goes into the sea ( Manche) this is “ Veules les Roses” ( the Chanel )

This is the River Veules( like the river Seine) but tiny!

These are the initial of the owners ( beginning of 20 th century) it was in the front gate.

We had lunch there. This village is a very nice romantic place . We had a very nice day!

A little bit of freshness!

Today a little bit of fresh air after the heat of these last days nearly 40 C! The plants have been suffering, half my sweet peas are dead , four baby sparrows dead and thrown out of the nest. We had to water in the evenings and mornings but we will be soon in water restriction.

This village is well known for it’s roses it’s name been “Veules les roses”

I love this wind mill this is a little path with the shade of the trees and the freshness of water.

It is a river like the river Seine, but the smallest of France!

These are photos I took a few months ago. The village been too crowded in summer and it was so hot these last days it was not possible to go out and resist the heat. After thunderstorm hail and rain we lost 10 degrees! 🥵
