Waiting and preparing a break.

Hello Friends !

Do you recognise the place and the land?

In Europe…Belgium and town Bruges. This is why I will be off my blog for some days. My husband and I need a break and we are impatient to visit more museums in Bruges and Gand. We already know these towns but it is always a great pleasure to go back and walk in the narrow streets or in a horse carriage.

I am preparing our stay and have lots of to do!

Another outing .

Hello Friends,

Today, we should have stayed home but we went to a craft fair near us and suddenly decided we did not want to go home… we were off to the sea ! The weather was dry and we needed to escape the work we should have done….

It was late when we arrived, but we know a restaurant where you can have lunch late, so we went there first.

( this is a gift from Mr L the first picture and the last one)

Some people were eating outside, but we decided to eat inside as it was still chilly.

The « Cafe gourmand » was very good!

We walked on the sea front promenade, a long one.

Then we stopped at a nice little shop.

That one also came with me 😂. 

This morning at the craft fair I found scrapbooking items from a thrift store which was there and some beautiful fabric for 3 euros.

This is our day outing !

Now I am now organising another trip in Europe.

Rose Apple recipe and watercolour.

This Patisserie is in Bayeux a lovely vintage one.

How to make apple roses?

You must start down sorry

Fold the puff pastry then roll it gently to get a rose put it in a muffin tin, bake for 30 minutes ( but keep an eye on them) 180 degrees Celsius, gas 6.

Then put some apricot or apple jam to melt in a saucepan and apply on roses when baked with a brush to make them shine , when dry you can put some icing with a little strainer if you want.

Bon Appetit!

Put some apple compotes on the puff pastry, just a little to stick the slices

Cut 50 cm wide puff pastry stripes

Boil 40 cl water, two soup spoons of sugar half the juice of a lemon. Put the slices of apple two minutes to get soft so that you can bend them

Take red apples 🍎 it will be nicer. Cut them in thin slices

Doing watercolour. I am practicing to make my own “Carnet de voyage”

There are too little books. The first one has some drawings and you add the colours you want and exercise with the brushes. In between there are blank pages to add your own drawings.

How nice to stay in bed for Bandit when it is raining outside!

My “ Apple rose”

 Hello Friends,

Today will be grocery day, i don’t like to go to the supermarket, but until May it will be worse! The traffic between home and the supermarket will be blocked by road works until May!

We already had the same road blocked with road works for three months last year and it was terrible 😞 I wonder why they haven’t done all at once? So,I will have to find how to avoid the road works which are very dangerous! I first lit my essential oil lamp to “Relax” 😂 it has different colours and the upstairs one is tea-tree, the downstairs one is lavender.

After our breakfast and  Mr L has left for work, Bandit our dog is waiting for me and rushes upstairs to have a nap on a bed. He chooses the bedroom he wants to go!

Today our son is flying to London for his work, he will stay an until next Thursday. Maxime was ill with high fever but was feeling better yesterday and William is also better.

Before grocery, I have to go to the post office ( only open 2 hours in the afternoon) to post William and DIL’s Birthday presents and then do some cooking and baking and some watercolour if time left…

Something new THE pill box more pills 💊  due to aaaging 😂 

Yesterday I tried something I did long ago, “apple rose “ I  had only one apple, so I must get some more today, puff pastry, apricot jam and more icing sugar to bake a full “ bunch of roses!”

I am glad we did some nice outings when it was nice and cold, because today the rain is back!

I have better go if I want to do all I have to do today!

Easter DIY.

First Air fryer potato chips!

During the lockdown I made quite a lot of little crafts and I made these little rabbit family for Easter. 🐣 

I also made Mr 🦊 fox

The rabbits have a basket of carrots and a basket of apples.

 They are made with felt.
