Blue sky for April

Today,

Look at the sky! But I went out and it is very cold ( it was supposed to be 18 C, but it is 12 and windy) 

Saturday, we went to get Maxime’s and his dad Birthday presents and I rescued a little Camelia! We had a day out  with the sun, but so much wind!💨

This is the beginning of  the outdoors brocantes and it will be  soon our weekend occupation!

Today, I continue my cleaning and look for another break in May. Where will we go??? For a few days during the bank holidays find a place and a place at the kennel for Bandit.

We decided to visit our grandchildren in Autumn when the weather will be cooler.

DIY placemats and table scape.

Hello Friends,

This morning it is cloudy ⛅️ and we’re expecting some rain 🌧️ so no terrace cleaning today, it’ll be delayed to tomorrow.

My husband called the roofer this morning , we are waiting for since last Spring! He will finally come on the 7th of April!

I continue my Spring cleaning …slowly!

I usually does it room by room  but this time I am a bit overwhelmed by the amount of of work! I may ask for some help…

I was looking for placemats for some days, but did not find the one I wanted. I had placemats, not plastic ones but with cork on the bottom side and wanted to change the

Decoration. So, I thought of the good old paper napkins I had in stock for long.

I first painted them white with two layers of chalk paint put my paper napkins with mod podge and then I will varnish them to protect the decoration and aged them on the edges with Vintage paint antique wax «  antique gold »

Here is a little table scape to show you what will be the result.

The plates, glasses and cutely were some of our wedding gifts.

THE tree 🌳 !

Hello Friends !

We are having a beautiful day! And these are the trees I love ❤️ in our garden! Especially the weeping willow.

This prunus unfortunately he is not too well but he still is flourishing and I hope he will survive. Trees are suffering a lot from the summer heat.

 Today I will be cleaning the terrace with a pressure washer. It takes me all day, but now I divide the work in two days!

We had a gift from a patient! Dates for my walnut and dates loaf! How nice directly from North Africa they are always delicious!😋 now I know what to do…Bake!

Hello Friends!

Today, the nice weather continues and 15 degrees C.

This year I had time to finish my garden shed painting before heavy rain and before hot weather!

The rhubarb is growing, nice rhubarb crumbles will soon arrive.

Last month we went to a charity sale and I found 2 meters of this very nice fabric for 3 euros it’s a thick upholstery fabric, I may use it for a chair.

During one of our weekends at the sea I went to a linen fabric shop ( our region is a big flax growing place)

And after I finish to paint my shed windows I will sew two little curtains with it.

These are tea towels some patients from La Reunion island gifted me.

This morning I. received  my order a present I made to myself! Rutuals cosmetics ( Sakura scented cosmetics) cherry tree for Spring.

My daughter has sent me this picture taken by a photographer from the race 19 kms from the arrival, music 🎧 in her ears !

And we have a member of the rescue team from”Alerte à Malibu!” Maxime on the beach!

He was scared of the sea some months ago, but seems much better now.

But here it will be a much quieter day at home taking a break from Spring cleaning 🧽 !

Maud took a selfie of herself because dad missed her arrival ! She ran  too fast !!! 😂 they missed each other! 21.1 kms in 2:02:17. Then we had her Birthday 🎂 lunch we did not have on time this year.

Next  run in Caen in June  following the D-Day Normandy beaches and some other race will follow…
