Grandma’s having a day off!

Hello Friends!

Grandma is having a day off after cleaning, sorting out toys and doing a bit of laundry.

I had a little walk before it became too hot 🥵 waiting for my hairdresser’s appointment and then went to the spa to get a leg and feet massage and reflexology! Now I am fully relaxed and able to walk again!

This is William’s nursery and in front of it the playground full of children after nursery with their nanny.

Not a car park but pushchairs park.

The little Mall where is the super market, spa, hairdresser , doctor, chemist…

 I was the only customer this morning.

Now Maxime is coming back from school. Tomorrow he has a friend Birthday party and then we all will be going to his school party.

On Sunday we will go to miracle garden and see the butterflies 🦋 ( William feels better and is back to nursery!)

Dubai Mall Art Museum.

Today I have spent some time in the Dubai Mall Art Museum and i enjoyed myself a lot!

I want to share some videos with you. The paintings are from the Orsay Museum in Paris.

You must have recognised Monet’s house very close to where I live in Normandy.

Then if you look closely you’ll see a dolphin a light blue one with my name on it “Catherine “!

This is magic 😂 

And on top of the museum I enjoy a carrot cake and a latte on an interactive table and I could also have my name on it!

This big building is an hotel and ten years ago while watching the fireworks for the new year, it was on fire 🔥 now it has been rebuilt.

This is on my way back home.

My morning was a very good one i enjoyed it!

Hello Friends!

Before the sun goes to high grandma went outside!

Today it is 25 C but at midday it is very hot already.

When arriving at the Mall I had a pause with a croissant and an Italian coffee at Eataly ) one of my favourite restaurant!)

Here you eat your croissant with a fork and a knife!

In France you just take it in your hand ( but it’s cleaner to do so I must admit)

You can see the chocolate fountain! And their ice creams are delicious. They have an Italian store at the back where you can find all sorts of pastas  olive oil…

Especially for Linda! I have a Starbucks close to the flat!

I have to walk along the boulevard 

Went back to Morelli but did not eat all! No more ice creams now!

I have spent some time choosing books and English magazines 

Before I went home I went to get a little gift for the children. Grandmas are spoiling their grandchildren !

I only see them twice a year. William is still sick and asleep I am on duty while mum is gone to get Maxime from school.

So that was my day I may go out when it will be dark no sun and cool temperatures.

This and that…

Hello Friends!

Today I am staying at home too much walking yesterday and also William has fever and no nursery today!

So I did some vacuuming, washing and grocery shopping in the little Mall just downstairs. I also had a hair blow dry 

At the little hairdresser I know in the same little mall.

Grandma bought some chocolate Dubai ( with pistachios)

And! Some… camel 🐪 shortbreads for the boys!

 That is all for today! The adventures are to be continued…tomorrow’s visit to Kinokuniya the famous Japanese book store to get books in English for granny!

When I came out of the Mall it was time for the fountain show.

Grandma went to the toy shop and had to walk a lot came home before the heat but before she had an ice cream a lemon 🍋 one at Morelli’s her favourite place!

This is the view from the balcony! A small town in a big city. Many new buildings since my last visit!

 Grandma went back home with toys and is playing with Maxine who came back from school 2 pm.

Grandma had a safe journey!

Today, we went to Sea World Abu Dhabi with the two boys it was intense and grandma is tired tonight!

They gave a kiss to the pingouins!

While the children will be at school and at nursery grandma will go to the Mall 1800 shops it will make a change of the country life! 😂

The temperature is cold for Dubai this morning my son told me it was 11 C the coldest winter! But 23 C in the afternoon until 5!

Hello Friends!

Just a quick post to say thank you for your messages!

Today I did the last shopping for my husband, put notes for him to know how the different machines are working… weighted my luggage. Yesterday I did my online checking. Now my small air fryer is heating a croque monsieur I made myself. Then I’ll finish all I have to do before leaving for Paris Roissy airport.

We are waiting for another storm over Brittany which is already flooded! Huge waves and strong winds  again!
