Autumn cleaning 🧹 in the Maileg house.

Today, it will be dusting in the Maileg mice house.

I found this vacuum cleaner  when we went to Bruges this spring.

Maileg house at Xmas.

 The past week, I did the Maileg house dusting and today I finished the Xmas decoration.

Last year I have knitted them red and white scarves for Xmas 🎄 

Today, I won’t do much my right knee being blocked 

But I will continue my journals.

Yesterday I prepared the meals for a few days so I can rest my knee and take pain killers!

Trying to go out!

 Today, guess what?… we are having another storm!

But less in intensity.

It is the weekend  we would like to go out, but the place we want to go we have to drive through the forest and we have been told to be careful as many trees still could fall. Well! We are surrounded by forest so it is hard to get a safe road! The place I would like to go is where I find my Maileg mice. The Maileg house I am doing will be for my grandchildren. But…

At the moment, Grandma is playing with it!

I have decorated it for Fall and now will decorate for Xmas.

I found little burgers ( they are sweets) for the mice grandparents !

 I think we will brave the wind try to find a way without any forest to get something new ! Maybe Maileg Xmas decorations !and do our food shopping 🛍️. This is not a strong wind 80 kmh a normal Autumn wind.

Grandma and grandpa mice have survived to the heat!

They had air conditioning in the bedroom 😆 

The house is full now ready for our grandson to come

Maybe at Xmas if mum is allowed to take the plane!

 Hello Friends,

As I told you yesterday, we had a big thunderstorm ⛈️ 

With strong winds. Here it did not last long, but in our region trees have been uprooted, streets flooded and roofs damaged. Here we used to have power cuts, but now the  electric  wires are buried underground which is a very good thing. The first time we had a tornado here was the day after Xmas 1999 and the power had been cut during One week! No heating and no hot water in December!

Now, the heat is gone ( I hope for ever!) and the humidity is still a bit there, but 21 C!we lost about 15 degrees and we are having rain which is good  for the vegetation.

I can go out this afternoon with fresh air!

The bad weather we had is going to the north and east of France now . The south is no more having more than 40 degrees which will be a big relief for them after three weeks.

Christmas tea pot

Yesterday we went to get some food for the birds as usual. We had lunch outside and went to «  Black Friday » sales.

This morning I have put the lights on the decorated mantel and I just received a message from my daughter in law saying that the 

7 kl parcel I have sent on Tuesday has just been delivered to their flat ! I have sent Xmas present in advance avoiding the post crowed and yesterday I have sent my Xmas mail.

This summer I found this little tea pot on sale and I thought it would be nice to have it for next Xmas when Maxime will be there.

I love it ! This is my childish side… 

 The mice nearly all have their Christmas scarves 🧣 

I have some more to knit for new arrivals of grandparents and a baby rabbit!

Like a Monday…

We had a rainy Sunday and stayed inside reading and watching TV and went to visit my mother who still is in hospital 

On Saturday  we went to the shop to get my Maileg ironing board I had ordered and at the same time bought new items . These two Xmas dolls a bath and washbasin , two armchairs, two new beds and I have crocheted a bed cover and decided to get lights ( at Action)

 

This is the house with light! I must make curtains and more bed covers. I am preparing the Xmas decoration

Tomorrow I have an appointment at the local hospital where my 94 year old mother is. She is still there after her heart attack, brain stroke and now bowel obstruction…she refused two opportunities to go to a retirement home last year after a stay in hospital and now I hope I can find one for her because she needs nursing care.

They’ll help me to find a retirement home for her , which is difficult to find when in a rush. I hope I can manage quickly.

Today like a Monday I did the laundry, cooking for tonight, carrot soup, oatmeal cookies, endive salad, rice pudding and tonight egg and cheese omelette, cauliflower and baked apple for a few days!
