This and that…

Hello Friends !

Today, we have a bank holiday so this morning my husband went to take Bandit for a walk and I drew all the bricks of the wall on my watercolour as they have not been drawn. It was a job to do the wall and took me a long time to do it. I still have some work to do on it.

After we had lunch my husband does his « Corto Maltese »  I started a new watercolour and try to finish my knitting.

 I did an exercise of a pumpkin.🎃 

I received my new small Ninja Crispi it’s nice for two and for one person there are two glass containers. This one is the big one and without the adapter there is the small container. I cooked chicken 🍗 for lunch 20 minutes and it was good.😊 

We are having a quiet day and enjoying ourselves.

Autumn DIY.

Hello Friends !

Today, the locksmith came and repaired our front door lock 🔐 and he said… it was free! In fact we bought all our windows and doors from him four years ago so it was very nice of him. A good news as it can be very expensive here.

I am beginning to a new snood to match a pullover I bought in the Netherlands. It’s easy knitting while watching TV.

And today was watercolour day (very relaxing 😌)

I finished a little shop I started and began another one.

This is the beginning of my watercolour exercise many details and many different colours. I have also to use my brush like a pen sometimes which needs to be concentrated on the drawing, but I like when it begins to become animated by the colours.

 Last night I cooked an Osso Bucco with small carrots and potatoes, tomato 🍅 sauce and as I had a rest of cider I used in a previous dish I used it and it tasted very good.

Tonight it will be roasted salmon and broccoli.🥦 I am going to to bake apples in the oven for sweet.

Now I will be waiting for the electrician next week and the plumber! The weather today is very gray we will certainly have some rain this afternoon we have 13 C which is not very cold for the season.

Hello Friends!

I have been busy these days with house cleaning and sorting out wardrobes.

On Saturday we went out for lunch and did some shopping. We had a coffee on a terrace outside in a Turkish coffee we like to go, their coffee is very good.

The weather was sunny with a blue sky a nice Autumn day. Mr L bought himself a new pair of trousers and a new shirt and I found a new cardigan.

When I stop cleaning I knit myself a scarf in fact a snood.

We als went to the big bookstore and I found a new thriller!

I like the bows on the sleeves of the cardigan.

This picture is from the Cluanie inn in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Our son had a stop there and this is the place we have been before together. A beautiful place surrounded by the mountains very isolated among the Trossachs.

Before there was no electricity but a generator and no modernity, but now my son was a bit disappointed because of the changes! 😂 it was as if we were far from the rest of the world!

 Our two explorers are fine, Max is hiking while Wiliam is on his parents’ back. They are on Skye island breathing fresh air before going back to Dubai on Saturday.

Today, I’ll have a rest, visit blogs and finish my book before beginning another one!

Knitting by the fire.

Hello Friends !

Well, it is cold here and we are expecting some snow ⛄️ 

I thought it was getting cooler, but no…

Some time ago I knitted myself some mittens with some wool my daughter had brought me from Iceland.

I had some thinner wool left and I decided to use it and make new thinner mittens.

The wind is rather cold and we must have the light on..

This morning i made some soup for the weekend : zucchini, curry and cheese called « vache qui rit »

Then endives with coco milk, curcuma and garlic. They are ready in the fridge and this afternoon chocolate muffins and scones.

Yesterday I visited our neighbours and had an hour chat.

And knitting 🧶 while the muffins are in the oven.

The program of the weekend will depend on on the weather 🌦️. Saturday will be cold , but if it doesn’t snow we will go to have a look for new lamps  for our bedroom and also  have a lot to sort out in the workshop, especially Christmas decorations and things to donate.

I also will have a conversation with our grandson Maxime on Skype and see little William.

Yesterday William ‘s winter clothes went to another little baby boy and I am pleased to know this little boy will be warm. 

This will be our program for a winter weekend!

We are waiting for better weather to have a break.

Our dog Bandit is feeling better for the moment and we can sleep…
