🥵 hot! 🥵 too hot!

Two weekends ago we cleaned and repaired the  awning on the terrace. It is time to change it , since covid I can’t get a new one none in stock, so I decided to repair it and that was hard but done!

This Saturday I cleaned the terrace  rugs table and chairs.

I have still the back door stairs to clean.

It is hard to keep the plants alive because of the heat.

We are having 30C these days, but going to 40C by the end of the week! 

On Saturday afternoon I went to collect second hand baby items and went to a shop to by a baby bed , sheets

And everything needed.

Baby Maxime is arriving on August 7th for three weeks

And I don’t want to go shopping with the heat.

On Sunday we trued to built the bed and what occurred was that they made a mistake and gave me a baby Park!

And they have forgotten some of my items!

So l had to go back this morning to get The BED!

Then I went to ikea and ate cinnamon bread roll, I love them.

There I got the end of my shopping before the high heat.

Now I am doing the washing and baby washing to prepare the bed and bedroom.

Yesterday, we had a barbecue with my daughter and her husband but it was hot outside. The children took the ping pong table to their new home from the garage.

 I give the birds water everyday!

For the weekend barbecue I baked a lemon cheese cake with lemon curd topping ! Delicious!

With home made lemon ice cream! 

This temperature will stay for two weeks! 🥵

A cool Sunday and Giverny water lilies

These are pictures I took last year of our neighbour’s horses when the baby was born.

We are having a cool weather now and yesterday we went out to the “sales” for Mr L.

The time of the “ vide grenier” has started ( sort of garage sale) but in the village.

The village next to us is organising one today and I want to get some baby bath … as our son is coming in August. I will only buy a new bed the rest will be second hand.

I received a photo yesterday of Maxine’s first swimming pool  with his mom! With his brand new swimming costume!

Today is a grey day and only 17C we are having rain and wind 💨 a big branch of one of our trees was broken by the wind we will have to see what we can do to the tree tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a Holy day and Mr L will be home.

This morning the neighbour’s cat Ceasar killed a baby pigeon

Which n’est was on top of our willow tree. I was in the bathroom and by the window it was as if it was snowing … white small feathers everywhere coming from the tree!

This cat is a real predator for the birds living in our garden.

Bandit my dog tried to climb up the tree to kill the cat, so was the start of the day!

Last night I had a look at the magazine I bought 

During the day and I am also reading my 18 th book of MC Beaton (only 13 left to read!)

As I must not eat much sugar I decided to bake scones( only 2 table spoons sugar!)

I also went in the garden to get some roses to decorate the living room.

I still can’t fix my blog and can only leave comments on two blogs I have problems with Google at the moment and try to get some help to get back to normal!
 

A Spring walk and Magnolias.

 

The day started with a beautiful Sun ☀️ 

Then I was fit enough to go for a walk through the village, I did it this morning because the cycling Normandy tour is coming through the village pretty soon. All the roads are closed in the neighbourhood during two days.

Many wild flowers on my way. Lots of  magnolia from different sizes, beautiful on a blue sky. The temperature is 14C in the morning and 18 in the afternoon !
