Cooking and waiting.

 Hello Friends,

Today I had some news about William. He is a little better and my son was waiting for the doctors visit 

during the morning. Still waiting for some other news.

Grandma has been cooking with her air fryer potato croquettes with mashed potatoes, egg, bread crumbs, flour.

I should have added mozzarella, will do it next time.

I have put some Gorgonzola to melt on top! 😋 and some olive oil spray.

It takes only 11 minutes to cook.

While waiting for some news I think  I’ll do some painting, how to paint a sky and clouds.⛅️ 

Hope I’ll have some good news for the weekend.

Last night we had a winter wind storm, but today cold and blue sky! I began the outside  decoration in the trees.

A lamb dish with rosemary is in the oven

 We had some news from our son today and they are staying one more week! So three weeks in total!

I am impatient to see children and grandchildren next week. I wish you a good weekend.

Cooking and baking day!

I was doing this for Christmas when I was a child. Did you do the same?

Tonight I am relaxing and looking at old Christmas books to look for new ideas.

This weekend was a busy one for my husband.

He decided to sort out all the boxes in the garage , take the old one to the rubbish and get new clean ones, he also built three shelves to put the boxes neat and clean! Now the second garage is in order!

Then we went to the discount shop to get more outside decorations and inside decorations.

Today, I made endive and apple soup with nutmeg.

And carrot soup with ground cumin.

I found bigger jars like “Bonne maman” jars

 This is the Guilty! 400 euros to have a new one installed on Friday. 😂 

Now there is a nice smell in the house! Baking a fruit cake for the freezer waiting for the children and grandchildren to arrive next week.

My appointment to the clinic is next week, for the moment I am a little better, but with 5 medicines a day, we will see

Today, I got up very early the temperature will be very heigh 32 C.

I used my new crockpot to cook chicken.

A new week after a nice weekend.

Hello Friends !

Our weekend was busy. On Saturday we went out to get  a watch my husband had left to get repaired in a small town we often go 45 mn from home and at the same time I could go to my favourite Italian clothes shop to have a look at the last sales. Last time I went there I saw this wool cardigan and it was half price, but this time a very good bargain 70 % off so I decided to buy it

, two black jumpers and a coat with hood ( all was 70% off) I can wear this coat on both sides the other one is black.

Then we had a cake and a coffee in our favourite coffee shop.

On Sunday, we stayed home I had a Skype with Maxime and we went out for a walk with Bandit our dog. The weather is all grey but the temperature was about 10 degrees.

Then I did some crocheting 🧶 to get rid of these cotton I had in a box.

I also found … a new bag! It is a faded pink colour.

 Today Monday, I am baking and cooking for the week and a special meal for my son in law who is coming to help on Wednesday.

Stuff d butternut and stuffed sweet potatoes 🍠 

Cider and carrots pork stew.

 a fruit cake loaf and vanilla yogurts.

Then blue g visits and 

Tomorrow hair cut and Thursday 😨 dentist!

Autumn colours in the kitchen !

This week I did not want to go this week, not feeling too well and very bad weather.

So, as I ran out of food at the end of the week, I decided to open the kitchen cabinets and look at what I had got in stock. I had baking rice and baked a salted caramel rice pudding. I had tuna cans and made a tuna loaf with 

Cheese adding a sauce with low fat cream and tomato sauce served with salad. ( below)

Last night my husband went to get food from our favourite restaurant. We had plenty of mixed vegetable salad, pan Jo chicken, avocado… and a lemon cheese cake.

Today, we are shopping together, but next week I will start shop delivery again as I am not feeling too well

Cooking and ironing .

 Hello Friends,

We are lucky here to have a cool weather during the night and in the morning. Around 12 C in the morning and sometimes 30 C in the afternoons, but today 20C at one o’clock! So nice!  

This morning I went to the shop to get the items I had forgotten yesterday and cooked my “Ratatouille “ it will gently simmer for tonight. It is particularly good cold in Summer with Parma ham!

Then this afternoon I will bake a banana loaf and I will sort out the bed linens see what I keep and which ones I am going to give. 

I took the ironing board out of my laundry room to look at tv at the same time . Watching “ Inspecteur Lewis”

In Oxford, a Beautiful town I visited in England.

And what I am keeping. We have five bedrooms, but now we use one except when the children come and grandchildren soon two!

Now I am resting a little before baking the banana loaf and broccoli quiche!

Cooking day.

Today, I went out to do some shopping and I got pork cheek to cook with beer and carrots. I cooked them for two hours and they will be cooked for one more hour tomorow.

I have been crocheted a lot and used some bright colours.

Today I received the picture of a future artist 🧑‍🎨!

I begin to feel better , but I need to rest a lot in the morning and do some work in the afternoon.

Trick or a treat! 🎃 🎃 🎃 .

This is soon Halloween 🎃 and my daughter already carved her pumpkin !

She has got all the needed tools and she learned how to do it in Canada when she was 15 and studied in a  Vancouver island school during her stay.

She make quite an angry one!!!

 Yesterday was the first day I could go back to my kitchen and do some cooking and baking after three difficult weeks. One week so tired and then two weeks covid. I am glad I could go on holidays in September 

And did not catch it while I was in the Netherlands.

Last night I made cannelloni with spinach and mushrooms , I would not have thought to associate the two but it tasted good with mozzarella, garlic and tomato sauce.

Then I made some corn pancakes. It was a veggie supper !

I baked a pineapple yogurt cake.

I went through my cook books and magazines to find inspiration, I usually look on my phone for recipe, but books are useful to get inspiration when you are not looking for a precise recipe. 

At the same time I am clearing my cook books and various magazine I keep for long.

  

On Sunday, Maxime discovered the birds and fish at the aquarium. He looks very interested by this new discovery!
