A very busy Sunday!

Yesterday was a busy working day! 

We got up early and I baked a pear and caramel cake and baked stuffed sweet potatoes for lunch, my daughter just informed me Saturday evening.

Our daughter and her husband came for lunch and after lunch they decided to tidy and clean our garages.

We wanted to tidy and donate or put to the rubbish some old broken tools…

They did a very good job!

And then clean all the house gutters, a good job done!

Last year I have planted a new yellow Peonie and I am impatient to see the flower.

 This morning I am waiting for the new outside table and chairs delivery then do some housework and laundry.

Château and Château fort.

I have fixed the problem and I am back !Today, we first went to the vet to get some food for Bandit.

Then we went to a garden Center it was open day and discount day!

They have a new corner in the shop where you can eat and do your shopping. They have fruits and vegetables, cheese 🧀 chocolate, biscuits , wine and bear.

The double decker bus is part of the shop!

We had our lunch at the watering can

Then as my husband was very tired of the week we decided to continue and visit an arboretum just a few kilometres from home. In the beautiful park there is a Medieval castle .

At the entrance two big sequoias 

We walked, sat on a bench under the sun and listened to the birds 🦅 and to the babies birds in the nests and relax.

Then we arrived at the castle  through the door.

This was the water pits around the castle 

We can’t go inside for the moment, they are doing some work inside

They have been doing a lot of reconstruction work outside.

Rebuilder some part of it. Before it was a ruin!

There soon will be a Medieval festival in June.

We decided to go to another place and I took a picture of this wonderful wisteria 

This week I heard on our local radio that there was a hotel and restaurant we did not know in this fabulous castle ! Mr L will invite me some day in the restaurant for a meal.

 Then, we had a very good outing  and we decided to go home.I hope you enjoyed or outing !

Today is a special day! Maxime’s Birthday 🎂 

He his two today. His nursery is closed for a week, due to flooding in Dubaï. This afternoon he will have a Birthday party with his nursery friends at home. It will be an international Birthday party with little boys coming from different parts of the world 🌎 !

I wish I could be there, but with the terrible weather there the airport landing tracks are flooded and there are no planes anyway.

Tomorrow is Friday and the end of the week I hope the weather forecast will get better for the weekend as this week has been an awful week with the windstorm during three days. 

Tomorrow I’ll get the vegetables I ordered at the farm for the week and then try to go out during the weekend with my husband.I just looked at the weather forecast and no 🌧️no wind 💨 for the weekend ! 😮‍💨 

Speculoos paste and oatmeal cookies with chicory cream.

This morning I decided to bake northern french recipes

A dessert with chicory, the taste of chicory is very nice, it is a bit like caramel.

Then I had Biscoff cream, speculoos cream with oatmeal cookies. Speculoos are northern biscuits with cinamon.

Both go very well together.

It is cold outside 9 degrees C… and rain 🥶 better stay inside.
