Vintage picture and my childhood

Hello Friends!
Yesterday, I told you that I was sorting out my photos
You may know that I love handbags 👜! Well I know now why! I already had a handbag when I was a child 😂
Nowadays we are relaxed concerning our clothing, but when I was a child I had to be well dressed everyday my mother made my clothes. I was here in my best clothes for church I think .
concerning my teenage years it was different! I was staying in England during the 70’s and I discovered Indian dresses and Sweedish clogs! That was a change but I still had a woollen bag from South America. Then I discovered Mary Quant’s fashion!
What a mixture 😂
How we’re dressed during your childhood and teenage?
This morning I went shopping and got some more cardboard boxes 📦 to use for our donations and little plastic ones for my craft room.
I will continue my sorting out this afternoon.
Have a nice day!

  2. I was born in 1944. Back then we girls were only allowed to wear dresses to school and church. We were not well off financially so i only had a few dresses, new each year. We lived on a small farm, so of course I wore pants when I was playing or working outside.
It's fun to see old pictures.

  3. As I grew up my dressing naturally changed, but I didn't really follow fashion. I wore my clothes as long as I could.
In schools when I was young, we still wore one all-covering dress (uniform?) over another.
Later I loved Indian clothes, just like you.
I have quite a few bags, but I only carry one at a time because I don't like to move things from one bag to another.
I should sort and discard, but I don't have energy or the inclination. I would have time for them, but I use it for other activities.
    Hugs. Éva

  4. I dressed up like you - gloves, white socks and dresses. You looked so cute with your purse.
