Some other pictures of my childhood. We used to go on the coast in Normandy and stay with one of my great grand aunt which name was Graziella ( I loved this name a lot, made me think of somewhere different such as Italy!)
The house was in a very steep street in the town of Trouville by the sea.
There were photographers on the beach who took pictures of you and you bought it if you liked them. The first one is on the beach with my father and some children I was playing with. I am pausing with the bathing suit mother sewed me.
The second one is when I was so glad to go and play on the sand!
And the third one is in my pale blue and white striped dress with little bows my mom sewed me again. As you can see I was a very shy and quiet little girl.
My aunt’s cat was called Figaro and was a black cat.🐈⬛
We always went to see the fireworks and I remember I was on my father’s shoulder and was scared!( I am still scared of fireworks! )
I had a little bag with butterflies I got from a shop to put my toys to take to the beach it was sold with yogurts and I loved it! It’s amazing how pictures can bring you back so far! I can smell the powder of the fireworks, the noise which came from the sea…the house was a three storey house and I was scared to sleep on my own on top of everybody listening to all the noises ( of monsters 👿)
Well now I am closing the box and get back to my sorting out! We will donate some ( many) of my clothes to the Red Cross on Saturday.
