This and that…

Poor little Batman is back!

Hello Friends,

Today, was dentist day and she had to devitalize a tooth 🦷 well I was scared as usual and it took one hour to do the job! As soon as I got home, I took painkillers. For the moment I am ok, except that with all the injections and painkillers I feel tired and sleepy. Not doing much after a good night sleep I should feel better.

 On my Birthday morning just as we were driving out of the garden lane, the postman arrived with Maxime’s parcel. It has been rejected by the custom considered as dangerous to travel by plane. But no battery in it and I have sent other toys before… Batman will stay in France.

The problem is I paid for his travel to Dubai and I am waiting for a refund.

The second big parcel arrived on time for Maxime’s Birthday which is good!😊  I had a message from our DIL 

Maxime is very happy with his camera and his clothes!

Today, we are having wind,💨 the heater is on again and branches are falling from the trees. Lot of wind coming from the sea ( only 70 kms away) strong winds.

We are soon going to away for another outing up north by the sea, I am impatient to go! But a few weeks before we go.

I hope you’ll have a nice week! I am going to rest a little before prepping the supper.

My Birthday wish…

Hello Friends!

It was my Birthday today and I did not want to do anything special… But this morning I just had the idea to go and visit a bird sanctuary ( i have been there long ago with our children) and this was a fantastic idea!

I love wildlife and birds 🦅 so it was the perfect gift I made to myself!

My husband was very pleased with the idea and off we went!

When we arrived we visited half of the park had our lunch in a very good restaurant across the road, families with children, family gathering a very friendly atmosphere and traditional food.

Then as I have problems to walk they allowed me to come back after lunch to do the other part.

It was the perfect season with daffodils blooming every where and see all the nestlings and birds nuptial parade!

The males were all colourful and making dances. The Flamingos 🦩 have a special parade which is a sort of choreography, so interesting !

They all live in freedom and good harmony !

Then we had a drink as the weather was beautiful and warm with young parents with babies and little children ( reminded us when we came with our children !)

At the moment our son is in China for his work and our daughter across Europe with her husband. 

Before leaving I went to the shop and bought a soi grapefruit candle the money goes to the bird sanctuary.

 Hello Friends!

Before the weekend and market day tomorrow, let me take stock of my parcel situation! Last night I was watching the news and one of the subject was Roissy airport’s customers. They were complaining about the 5000 parcels arriving each day and a lot of delays in their work. I think  a strike will soon take place! And they are rejecting some parcels i don’t see another answer to my question . Mine is perfectly packed, labelled and the custom label was detailed. Nothing wrong with it. This is why! I am waiting for it to be back, but will not send it again for the moment.

Today, is the last day of sun. Tomorrow rain is arriving, so no gardening and a day out! The meals are done for a few days so nothing to do.Mr L is on duty Sunday so I’ll be on my own all day and it will be a rainy day. What shall I do? Some DIY I expect. 

Yesterday, I did some cooking and cut out some butterflies from my Dutch magazine “Daphne’s Diary”

Nothing much today except that the first big parcel for my son and Max’s Birthday arrived yesterday in Dubaï at least it is the more important one and I am glad it arrived on time it was important for me!

Little Batman story…!

 Today, I am desperate! The second parcel I have sent for my grandson’s Birthday should be returned to me because of the custom! It’s only a Batman toy clock chosen by grandpa…I have contacted the international post and I am waiting for a mail. They  will try to explain to the customer that it is a child Birthday present! I have a little idea why… but we will see! It was not the good time, and it is stupid! Maxime will have half of his Birthday-presents and  he is a Batman’s fan! and I am really sad and disappointed!

Well no that I have no news from my parcel except that he is continuing to come back home!

I decided to do some cooking . I cooked fresh spinach flan with goat cheese, stuffed tomatoes ( tomates farcies)

Cooked apples with cinnamon and brown sugar. No I have to cook stuffed sweet potatoes and broccoli 🥦 maybe a potato and broccoli purée.( mashed)

Then a salad with avocado, grapefruit, apple and cucumber.🥒. Better continue!

Agricultural show.

Hello friends!

On Sunday it was the agricultural show in the country town 12 kms from our home. The best farms animals were presented and this bull ( above) won the price.  He looks very proud of himself! 😂 

This is the Normand breed. They have brown around their eyes like spectacles.🤓 

This one looks surprised??? Why are you taking a picture of me? Very gentle face.

 So cute piglets sleeping together. All farm animals had fresh straw, water and food and have been well treated.

This morning I went to the hair dresser and they have wished me Happy Birthday in advance ( it’s on Saturday)

I had a discount for my Birthday!

My daughter wants to organise a perfume creation learning in Rouen as I had a perfume organ from my son at Christmas. It is in fact difficult to make the good associations between different smells. 

Then I had a quick sandwich and took my dog for a walk.

Now, I have plenty of work to do, but I am sitting outside with Bandit looking at the vegetation before the weather changes to rain on Sunday!

I am lazy! The robot is mowing the lawn in silence, only the numerous sparrows are making noise and I can hear babies sparrows asking for food!

It will be a relaxed day 😂
